View Full Version : sudden jerks and loud noises

i can pull out as slow as possible (MTX) and pull out and i will have an awful jerking and loud noises coming out from under the car. So i took it to this shop and they it was just my ball joint well they replaced that and i picked it up and it was doing it even worse now they are saying it is my motor mounts, tranny mounts, transmission, or clutch and pressure plate.. Obviously i dont think these ppl know what there talking about. But these are very hard sudden jerks and it will do this no matter how slow i pull out and it is loud. Any suggestions??

Sounds like what happened to mine just a few weeks ago. It was the spidergears.....differential. Sorry to say it, but you probably need to rebuild the whole interior of your tranny. I ended up replacing the whole thing, cause the cost for the rebuild, was the same as getting a used tranny and doing a swap. Good luck

If you are looking for a transmission let me know I have one coming that I can sell you for cheaper than junk yard will.

terry haines is the only guy i would trust to rebuild one. i also have my old tranny i am getting rid of and willing to ship to HMS to get rebuilt the right way ;)

just trying to help some one out.
if anyone needs a tranny to be built i would trust terry haines at hms, nothing against blackcoog.
damn stealthy i didn't know i had done that many...my bad. i did add it to my siggy at least...lol

haha its ok, I know how money is!
and if you find that is it your transmission that is bad, I would recommend getting fordrules and sending it to terry.. thats bulletproofing on a budget and you dont have to pull yours out until its done.

well the junkyard would be hard to beat it is 250 used mtx but ill take the offers and i dont even drive it right now because it really sounds that bad but offers could be considered i will probably take the old one out and just put new clutches into it hopefully that will work but if not i will buy from the grave yard
