I can cancel the order but there will be a restocking fee as your hood
is already made and paid for. If the hood left the manufacturing
plant today though and is in transit you would be responsible for all
shipping costs as well.
I explained that these hoods are made to order and I am available by
email 7 days a week.
I will call to see if the shipment has left the manufacturing plant
today and then get back to you. If it has not shipped I will put it
on hold there and then follow up with you to confirm cancellation and
restocking fee.

This is the email I was sent after calling to ask about my order for the 4th time and getting 4 different answers.
I have been waiting close to 6 weeks for this hood.
I waited 4 weeks before I called the 1st time to ask where my hood was and was told that a mistake was made.
waited another week and was then told that it had been made and was ready but KRAZY KUSTOMZ never gave the shipping company a phone # and they won't ship without a phone number. When you take my money KK aren't you responsible for making sure that my hood at least gets shipped out!?
Now you want me to pay a restocking fee and pay for shipping costs if the hood was sent today? What happend to last week?
Why the hell is it that none of theese asses CC or KK want to be responsible for anything after they get your money?
If I am responsible , then give me the damned # to the shipping company!

I'm assuming this is a Carbon Fiber Hood you bought, and I could've sworn that there has been a shortage on Carbon Fiber lately :shrug:

I understand that, but when I called I was told there was no backorder on it.
Besides that, I was told that the order shipped last week, and now it shipped this week. Just tell me the truth, don't lie to me.
Daywalker7VII makes a pretty valid point. How can you have a restocking fee on something that hasn't even been made or shipped?

ive had a similar problem with them as well, i ordered a fg predator hood and they said they no longer exist then put me on hold and said that there was 1 left in the world and sent it to me in a week and a half but when i got it, the hood was cracked all over the place and when i called to complain they basically told me there was nothing they could do and just left me with it, so i fought with the shipping company for a month and got my money back

I did not say that it shipped last week. I told you that it was to
ship. I never touch this product as it ships from an outside vendor
that privately manufactures hoods for us. From time to time we
experience delays from these vendors on how fast they go out.
I am to have order tracking tomorrow for this hood and will pass it
along to you.
That is one of the latest emails. What kind of BS double talk is that? Again, 6 weeks I waited, who is responsible for my item once I pay for it?
Agian, I can't get a straight answer out of anybody. How would you like it if customers started demanding product before payment, and then just took their time sending the money?

craig more than likely hasnt seen this thread so hes not here to defend himself or his business, be a man and send him a link to atleast let him know that this is posted on the forums.

So yeah, I'm not taking sides here . . . I've never heard of anyone having any problems with Craig. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened, but I've never heard of it. And . . . you confirmed that you were the one who had problems with CustomCougars not too long ago . . . I find this a little more than coincidental, but again, I'm not saying it could never happen. But calling people names and lashing out at a third party who has nothing to do with your problem only makes you look like a jackass, even if you are completely right.
This comes directly from the website . . . I found it by clicking on a link right on the front page near the top.
All returns must be authorized and approved by Krazy Kustomz Online and is subject to a 25% restocking fee. All return requests must be made within 5 days after receiving order. All approved returns must be returned to Krazy Kustomz Online in unused and unaltered condition with original packaging (or better packaging). Insure that product is very well packaged. Refunds will not be issued on returns that are damaged during shipping back to Krazy Kustomz Online. In the event that damage does occur, a refund will be issued when a claim has been settled with the carrier. Failure to comply with this return policy will result in a refusal of the shipment and will be returned to customer at his/her own expense.
Shipping Damages
Some products may be damaged during transit. Krazy Kustomz Online is responsible only for the shipment of your order. Once the freight carrier accepts the package they assume all responsibility of delivery and any damage that may occur in transit. Inspect all packages immediately in the presence of the delivery person. Do not sign delivery receipt until all packages have been inspected. In the event that damage has occurred, note the specific damage on the delivery bill and have the delivery person sign it as verification. Retain all boxes and other packaging material as package may be subject to inspection by the carrier. Call Krazy Kustomz Online within 24 hours to file a claim request. Failure to comply with this policy will result in a denial for damage claim.
I don't think you have a right to get [censored]y with Craig because you don't like or failed to read those terms. If you're purchasing something online, I would certainly hope you would investigate a company's return policy before finalizing the transaction. Thats just common sense. And if you read the return policy, then you knew about the restocking fee already.
It costs a company money to stock inventory, especially on specialty order items. Craig has already paid the manufacturer for the hood, and now he's going to be out the money it cost him to have that hood produced. That restocking fee is a way of recouping some of the money he paid to the manufacturer, money he may never be able to get back. On top of that, he now has to store the hood until he is able to sell it, taking up space that could be used for other products he DOES store stock. It may be just one hood, but his company, like any good company, has a uniform return policy which applies to everyone who purchases from them. Treating everyone equally is the only fair way to handle issues like this.
As for the shipping damage, why should Krazy Kustomz pay for damage they didn't cause? If the hood was damaged in transit, that is not in any way, shape or form the company's fault. It sounds like he went out of his way to try and help you out. If the hood was damaged when you got it, you need to direct your anger at the shipping company, not at Craig.

He told me the item was shipped last week.No item.
He told me it would ship this week and give me a tracking #, nothing yet.

But at the same time what is to stop them from throwing a damaged item a box and blaming it on the shipping company? It’s a pretty easy way for a shady company to unload a product that they otherwise would not be able to sell.
In any case Daywalker's complaint isn't that he got a damaged product but that he has NO product even after this guy claims to have shipped the item in question.
