ive got an early atx 99 with 90,000 miles on it. Im stuck right now on wheter to rebuild theh 2.5 or do a conversion. I need some serious advice on what to do and about how much it would cost me to do it myself. Im sure i could get it right with the proper instructions. Its an atx so obviously im not planning on racing but it would be nice to have just a little bit more power and reliability than what i have now. The atx is on its way out, i would love to take on that project too but i think i might just drop it off at level 10 and let them take care of it.(any comments on what to do to the trany too, would be helpful). Ive done alot of searches and but still need some help. The mods that i currently have are the newer lower and upper intake from customcougars and biger tb and the cold air from gmk. Not sure if im gonna have to get rid of them. Not looking to spend too much, so please dont kill me. ??????????? thanks for the help.

level 10 is crap, either switch to a manual or just buy a new tranny/cooler.

Your GMK CAI will work on both the 2.5L or the 3.0L

Since he has an ATX he can't go with a tranny from HMS. If you are interested in a MTX let me know. I have one coming that I could sell you. I could even install a torsen and some shift forks in it. I also do complete 3L swaps but it sounds like you are trying to stay as cheap as possible so I'm not sure if I'd be the best option. You can PM me for more info.
