who is still around from the NW?

The chapter moderator hasn't been on in 3 months & one of the top recent posters in the NECO NW chapter section is Aussiecat from the UK (which, thanks Aussiecat for livening it up at least a little!).

I would assume there are as many Cougars (& owners who love them) per capita in OR, WA, ID & BC as the rest of the US & Canada, but just not involved or aware. Maybe doing outdoor NW stuff while it's still relativity nice weather?

And those that are still around NECO don't bother to post in the chapter section because who's going to see it? There are a whole SIX individual posts since the board moved.

I'm almost as far away from as I could be and still be on the same continent...LOL

It feels good to be wanted, however

This chapter has been like this even when the current design was in its prime. It would be nice to get some new members but since the cougar is on the decline in popularity I doubt we could get much (or any for that matter).

Another problem this group faces is a huge expanse of territory NECO Northwest covers, and with gas prices the way they are the scattering of our members makes group meets next to impossible (save BC which has a nice concentration of members).

Oh and Tad, I like ya as well. :)

For any who want to try and get some activity in the 2nd most dead chapter in NECO (I think the chapter that covers Louisana holds the top spot) lets get some ideas around.

Signed

Advertise!

Make little NECO flyers and put them on EVERY DAMN COUGAR YOU SEE all the time.

Just a thought. :)

last time I had some photos printed, I made some little business card sized 'goldie' photos with www.fc.com across the bottom & did leave them on some cars ;)

guess I'll make up some new www.nc.org ones and hit up some more

Eh hem....I think AZ can challenge y'all for "Deadest NECO Chapter"! There's been no sign of our mod in 3 months. Apparently "some" people here know whats going on, but no one will officially say anything, which kinda irks me. Lack of leadership can absolutly KILL a chapter, and thats whats been happening since our mod went AWOL.

I'm not forgetting about you guys in in the NW! :) In fact, I came over here to try and update you guys on the whole West Coast Prowl situation. Hopefully we can get something worked out for a date, and get a couple of you NW'ers down to hang out.

Catch you guys around!

Well, I'm still around, still in Salem. NECO NW is so far down the Forum page, I forget to scroll down and check what's going on. :banghead:

Goldie, I've noticed, you're a very active member, good for you! I miss the days when I was more active. I die a little bit inside everytime something breaks on my Cougar, and unfortunately, that has caused my enthusiasm to dwindle. It's still such a sexy car, I just can't let go.

On occasion, I head up to Wilsonville for a stop at Fry's. Maybe we can meet sometime for a drink or lunch. I thought there was another member or two in the Salem area, who might be interested as well.

Frys... lol... me and an ex-coworker used to be in Frys 2-3 times a week at lunchtime (work in Wilsonville too)! (he's a geek ;)) Since he's moved on, my shopping has been limited to maybe once a month at the most, but still giggle whenever I walk past the aisle sign that says "diodes"... apparently, I'm a little dyslexic or something

iiStevo84ii was in Salem, but haven't seen him on here much since he replaced the cougar with a datsun. Don't know of others in the area.

Let me know next time you plan to come up.

Hmmmmmmm, Ghost Town would suggest there is an actual town, but by the looks of this chapter, the town has been wiped off the map and forgotten.

I'm still kinda sorta here, even though I don't have my Cougar anymore!!
