Carl Casper's Custom Auto Show will be Feb. 24-26. There is usually only one or two Cougars in the show, but there are a bunch of nice cars and it's always a good time.

Hey I saw your posting and wanted to let you know our club is having a meet and cruise March 18th. If you go to the CHAPTERS and look in the KYTN under MEET AND CRUISE it gives more info... There is also a prestigous show March 10 -12 in Nashville, TN. It's an inside show so you have to leave your car in the building from Thursday - Sunday. (theres security) You have to send in pics and basically they will notify you if you are picked. It's Nice to see another girl with a cougar and into cars. Goodluck!!:biggrin:

Jennifer...congrats on getting into Hunters. Now...don't expect them to be very fair in their judging. Case in point. They have this assinine rule that your car can't be in a show before theres in the year. However if you're in their buddy pool you can show all you want and still get top honors. I know of at least 2 cars that showed in Frosty Wheels....were even on TV in that event. Then they show up @ Hunters...again on TV. According to John @ Hunters...on TV he said they were unveiled at their show.

They don't play nice unless you spend boatloads of cash with 'em.

Actually last year i placed 2nd @ Hunters... But i really DON't like Hunter's. (shhh). The only reason i enter for the show is to get a trophy and all my car club members enter... other than that i NEVER buy from them. Everytime i go in the store they ignore me. Some of the guys in the club know the people personally but i could care less. That's why i dont say much to them so they wont kick me out. LOL That is pretty stupid how you cant be in any shows 3 months prior to their show. I guess it makes them feel special. LMAO

heh...they USED to be the only game in town for custom automotive and car shows. He actually told one of my friends that he started the car scene in Nashville and he isn't going to let anyone else in. He has TONS of startup cash and did HUGE buy-ins with any vendor he could find. He tried to lock everyone out of getting any parts. When Frosty Wheels started up he blew a gasket and started setting all the BS rules in order to get into his show.
I used to go in there for little stuff that no one around here stocked. They STILL owe me 20.00 for a refunded entry fee from 2 years ago. That was the last straw for me. They told me that I could back out of the show and get refunded. I went down there (after having an emergency root canal) and was told "Johnny doesn't feel like you deserve a refund"
I told the guy at the counter (John) that then Johnny doesn't deserve my business.

Last time I ever darkened their door.
