wow...its been a long time since ive been on this forum. hows everyone doin?

im trading in my cougar so i need some stock parts.

looking to trade svt throttle body/bracket/cable for stock throttlebody/bracket/cable (+some money).
looking for stock lower intake manifold/working imrc...willing to trade svt UIM for these items (+ money).
looking for stock 2 bolt catalytic converter, i have the trubendz ypipe with removable cat/straight pipe, willing to do a straight trade.

i have a lot of stuff just sittin in the garage if anyone wants to buy/trade for the items above.

i have big k&n filters, maf adapters, stock heads/cams, and theres probly other things that i cant remember, but i would have to look again. i will also have msds headers available asap. im just having trouble with a few bolts, i didnt install these so i dont know how they went on.

the front headers, i just cant figure out how to tackle the top 3 bolts, i have an idea and bought another ujoint. have to try it tomorrow. should i get it from the top?

the rear headers, theres one bolt that i cant fit my socket onto...i cant use a deep socket cuz the header tube is in the way, and my regular socket is too short (i attached a rough drawing so you know which bolt im talking about). theres another bolt and thats the top right corner one, i cant get a good look at it. im gonna try to take the fender lining off and have someone assist me from the side.

please pm me with ur tips.

edit: also have a trubendz exhaust with 2 mufflers before the tips. trade for parts or sell.

Hey Dax... welcome back... sorry to hear you're trading in the Coug :( but what are you getting now?

Do you have any pics of the exhaust, and how much would you want for it?

i can take some pics, dont know on the price yet but it'll be cheap.

im just concentrating on getting the headers off first. i got the rear ones out, those were easy. just cant get the top 3 bolts on the front.

i dont know what im trading it in for, im just looking for a comuter car. so its probly gonna be some ugly compact car that gets 30+mpg.

A 13MM deep socket wasn't working? Can you just not get it in there with that limited space?

If it comes down to it, you might want to consider getting one of those ratcheting wrenches in a 13MM just to get it done :shrug:

wow...that is an old picture. used to be my exhaust, it was a borla =(
wish i never sold it.

just some info on the exhaust. trubendz 2.5in piping and bought a big ass magnaflow to go in the middle and 2 dynomax bullet style mufflers in each tip.

i need help =(

i got 2 of the top 3 bolts off of the exhaust manifold. i still have the middle one and it is partially rounded, the wrench grabs it but when i tq it hard it slips. i dont know what to do now =(

Have you tried using a reverse torx head on the stud itself? Thats how I removed all of mine...

If you don't have those, I've got a set you could borrow... but I don't know how you'd want to get them...

this sucks, its funny how everything can go so smooth then 1 stripped bolt can just ruin it =(

i tried to get the bolt from the stud but the socket slipped on that too. its probly some [censored]ty bolt/stud.

theres nothing else i can think of. i know theres ways to do handle this but the orientation of the engine doesnt give me much room to work on it.

well i got it off! i figured out the real size of the nuts are 1/2 not 13mm. thats why it slips.

now i have msds headers up for sale! ill offer it to you guys first before it goes in the for sale section.

dev, ill have pictures of the exhaust up soon.

lostracer, are you still interested in swapping the throttle body?

does anyone have a decent working IMRC or know how much a new one is?
