ok i know i have read that it is possible to put a set of 01-02 guages in a 2000 cougar i was ust wondering if they will just snap right in or if i will have to calibrate anythign or do anything special for them to work... let me know..

couldn't he just take the gauge overlay off and the needles and put them on the 99-00 gauges?

i have no desire to take apart guages... id rather just swap the whole thing... you say take to deal for recalibration but i remember reading somewhere that you cant reset the odometer on these because it burns the milage into a computer or something like that...??

it's really easy to take apart the "face" of the gauges off the display...there's is a really light adhesive and it just peels off...at least this was the case when i put in my white face gauges...

yea but that defeats my purpose... i want the white guages, silver trim on the bezel, and the needels...so it doesnt make sense to switch it if i can justput the whole assembly in... im not to worried about the milage but if the dealer can reprogram it really easy then i might ahve them do it...

a dealership can calibrate the mileage.
