My CEL has been on bascically for the last year, occasionally going on and off.

I finally was getting around to check the O2 sensors and replace them casue I had to go for emission testing. I planned on doing this last weekend.

On wednesday last week, my CEL decided to turn off. I was shocked since the last strecth it was on for 3 months straight. That very same day I go for emission test and passed!

I guess my car didn't want me to touch it. It hasn't come back since and this is the longest it has stayed off in over a year. (knock on wood)

I've constantly had problems with my CEL [since basically day one]. have you ever had your CEL codes read? It would be worth looking into whats causing it.

I know mine are mainly due to a damaged front O2 sensor [I have a replacement but have been too lazy to fix it].

My CEL Was Vice-Versa from yours.. I took emissions, and a few miles down the road after I passed my emissions, my CEL turned on and its been on for months now.
