Mod meet

I've got my GMK extension sitting here also....and I believe same goes with Massiv last I checked. I also have my ground control coilovers I would love to get on my car as well. Ah yes, ford racing wires and gauges on their way as well :)

Let's schedule something.

I would be willing to help you guys out. If you have a 3-½” hole saw your set. I didn't have one so the hole is a little bigger than needed.

When and Where?

Don't bother with the hole saw...takes way to long. Cliff bought mine off me and we installed it on Saturday, everything went fine with the hole and we know exactly where to drill now.

So how did you cut the hole?

used a hole saw to get the shape...used a small drill bit to punch through (made a circle of little holes) then bconnected the holes by punching through with a screwdriver.....then filled it when the hole was there. looked fine :)

Don't forget a hack saw for the battery tray. :)

my advice would be to make the hole closer to the fender when will did it
it looked fine until i went to put filter on the filter on was hitting underneath against metal
so had to make hole bigger so tube could move over a bit

also if you don't have the replacement part for the accordion tube chances are you will have same problem me & dan did it was about half an inch to short to connect so i had to make something up to get it to reach

Yeah the CAI works better if you have a short ram intake first.

Dan, what did you fill the hole in with? Got any pictures?

I could do Saturday afternoon. I have some tools (and a compressor and stuff like that) but no 3-1/2 hole saw and I don't have much room. Also, no experience in cold air installs....some maybe we could find somebody with some experience and I could bring some tools and find a good place to do it.

Do you both have a stock intake or a short Ram intake with a cone filter? I did mine But I didn't have a 3 1/2" hole saw so I ended up cutting a bigger hole than I needed. You don't need any special tools just the Hole saw, and a few sockets. Do you both have a stock batteries or an optima. You need to shift the fuse box over to fit in the CAI, or relocate it. I'll be working on my car Sat at my brother inlaws shop but I might be able to help you guys out later in the afternoon.

AEM Short-Ram already installed, GMK extension sitting in a box in my room. I've got a stock battery...looks like I've got quite a bit of room to squeeze in the cold air extension without any moving or relocating, though. I don't have a 3-1/2 hole saw though...I thought 1 or 2 of OCC members did though...

I don't have one, I just cut a 1" hole and used a die grinder to open it up, not optimum but it worked. If someone else does and is willing to lend it out that would help. I think they cost around $35. Let me know if you need help.
