Hey was up guys (and gals). Im a new comer and am looking for some cougar mods (and I have a list...a LONG list). I dont even know where to start to looking for them and where the best prices are cause there is so much out there to sift through. I have been looking and reading and looking and reading and search for a month now and the task just seems to get more daunting! So just HAD to come to the experts and the veterans.

If you have an answer to all or some, please before your comment/answer/advice, write the number that it corresponds to. So if you have rim comments, type "1.) blah blah......" or if you have HVAC mods type " 7.) blah blah.....".

So here we go......

3.) Guages that glow blue at night
I have panasonic headunit that has a blueish/purplish glow at night, and audiobahn amps that glow blue - so I want to maintain thie " blueish glow" all through out the interior. The nasty greenish stock glow is not going to cut it!

4.) Chrome auto shift knob & pedals
The panasonic head unit looks "chrome" so I want to keep that look through out interior also.

7.) HVAC mods
If there is chrome, that would be nice.

8.) Strut bars
These dont seem to much efffort to install or too pricy.

11.) Interior Trunk Lid
It seems that the new versions of cougar (none 99) have the interior trunk lids. The thing that when you close the trunk keeps the sun from beating up on your subs and amps in the back. Where can I purchase that?? So that when the car is in the sun during the high sun periods, there is no direct sun rays hitting my sub unit, heating it up uneccassarily (it is already hot in the car and does not need the added rays)

15.) Interior Blue Lights
The lights that come on when you open the door. Right now its the ugly yellow. I want to change that to bluish white (fluorescent like).

16.) Amps Question
If a sub is rated for 550 rms, should you get an amp that is exatly at 550, or close to it like 500? And would getting something over it be ok even?? Because cruthfield said you should get 80-90% of max rms, but then folks at frys say get exactly, and on display they have solor Barixk L7 runing on like 800 rms amp but it is only rated for lik 600-700 rms?? Explain please. I have a sub rated 550, but amp is 400? To little? Just right?

17.) Anything else that I missed that you would recomend?

I have a job this summer and would like to do most of this now before heading of back to school in Aug (well at least the rims) Not to mention it gives me something to look forward to every week (what mod/accessorie to install this weekend) :] I am SO looking forward to heads turning when they see me in the car, since this would be my first car at school (after 3 years of buming rides

Answer what you may or answer all of them.

Thanks for your time and I am LOVING the cougars on here - yall keep it up too. Cant wait for my car to be at least close to yalls car mods.

Peace.

3 - you can easily buy face guages that are white / silver with a blue glowing backlight. Ive done it myself was pretty easy id link the site but they dont seem to have them anymore.

7 - HVAC ... the mods are all do it yourself no one is as of yet selling a replacement to get rid of the green, and it seems alot of us that try just make it worse heh.... opps

11 - Commonly called a Cargo Cover.... Topshop was making some Carbon Fiber cargo covers... was a post in here for a while i think... if ya like carbon fiber contact them... if ya dont maybe send a PM to those that baught them and see if they will sell thier stock cargo cover.

15 - If you mean your 12 second over head light .... i just took 6 of the LEDs that i used to change out ALL of the stock lights (window switches, locks, headlamp control, etc. ) and made my own blue LED replacement for the normal bulb.

If you havent replaced all your LEDs ... and you know how to use a soddering iron... it is a pretty worth while project ... Looks alot nicer when its all blue.
