Yeah, I hit one tonight. (un)fortunately it didn't do much damage. Managed to snap off the license place and frame, dent the hood, and smash up both headlights a bit. So, not really much damage, but enough to piss me off. Why couldn't it just total this thing? I will get some pictures, nothing serious, and yes, I'm perfectly fine. Just figured I'd let you all know.

So, update, I have to get my car looked at by the Progressive guy tomorrow. From there I am going to bring it to a shop and have it checked out. There is a bit more damage than I saw last night, like the bracket that the headlight screws into is bent, the front grill is messed up, and we'll see about anything with the front bumper behind it. Nothing is terrible I wouldn't think. Oh well.

I am glad I wasn't hurt because I have no medical insurance, lol. Cue, I'll contact you about that hood maybe. Maybe I'll also look into some 01-02 headlights instead. Who knows, whatever. I just want my car back to normal. The vinyl may also come off if the front needs to get repainted from scratches and scuffs, since I'll need to remove that one piece.

Damn, Pat I'm really sorry about the car man (I know I'm a little late but I haven't been online in awhile). It's frustrating but the hell with the car I'm glad your ok.

Will you be needing a new hood or front bumper?

front bumper stood up very well, but will probably be getting it repainted, aussie 01-02 headlights, and not sure if I need a new hood or if it can be banged out (we'll see), but everything is pretty good. I just am glad it didn't mess up anything of mine that was aftermarket like the WW front or the X1 fenders. Though the vinyl may be coming off since I have to get the front resprayed... we'll see though.

Pat, I just asked about your hood and bumper because I might (and don't quote me on this) but...I might be getting a new hood and bumper in a couple months and I would just give mine if yours was badly damaged. I'm on my second hood, my original one got damaged by falling ice off a building and it cost almost $1700 to fix. But it sounds like your damage isn't too bad and thats a good thing. I guess you'll have to transfer your HIDs into the new lights huh? Since I seen yours I like HIDs a lot, maybe some day I will be able to afford them!

well, first of all, price is no option... insurance will be covering it minus the $200 deductable. Thanks a lot for the offer though.

as for the HIDs... I MAY (and I mean MAY) be selling mine depending on whether or not I can find a reasonably priced kit to work with 01-02 aussie headlights. If that happens I will try to remember to go to you first... the kit is like $250 new now, and I would probably look for like $200 since they are used, but they are more affordable now than ever. I may keep them if I go domestic 01-02's or decide to just swap projectors, but I'll keep you all informed. I have some pics of my car, just don't feel like resizing right now, I'll try to remember later.

BTW, if you are interested in an HID kit, let me know and I will give you the company's website I got them from. Both me and Cue run with them and they look great, VERY affordable, and come with a 6 month bulb replacement warrantee (that they do honor except for cost of shipping which is left up to you). I had a bulb go out and they sent me one in less than a week, and it only took that long because you have to send them the busted one first.
