Just curious, what do you plan on putting in place of it? I'd say just go slow and try to pry it out with a butterknife, but I've never done it before.

grab the entire seat bottom and pull it out of the car... just lift up under each seat bottom... once you pull that out of the car you will see 2 screws underneath the cup holder area... LOOSEN them and the whole cupholder assembly comes out.. once that is out flip it over and dremel out the plastic welds to break the top piece off if you want to paint it.. remove the rubber gasket first though..

Thanks Crispy........Glad I didn't try the Butter Knife thing first......LOL Yes just want to paint the upper part of the Cup Holder.
