how do I remove it? i have a ford emblem to place on it. and to attatch the emblem i just use the double sided tape right? will that be good enough?

to remove it get some fishing line and slide it behind the cougar emblem to "cut" through the adhesieve
if your ford emblem has pegs on it you might have to cut them off. You can use indusrtial 3M double sided tape, or autozone sells emblem adhesieve that you could use.

what i do to remove items with double sided tape, is just grab a normal envelope and stick it between the object and the body of the car, and with a short saw like motion, just cut through the double sided tape, until enough of it is off to peel the emblem off. Its easy, and dont be afraid to hurt anything, ive used this technique removing my door ding guards and cougar/v6 scripting on the back. with a dremel, cut off the tabs on the back of the ford emblem, and with double sided tape, install it where the stock mercury emblem was. 5 minute job at the most!
