Since everyone wants a meet...where? Six Flags? Dinner + Drinks? Park? Someone's House? and WHEN???

So the major choices for a meet are:

- Six Flags in Jackson NJ...centrally located, fun, exciting, filled with scumbags, but fun :)

- Dinner and Drinks at a restaurant...I favor steak places, so how about Charlie Browns...There are a bunch I know of, 3 in the immediate central area. Matawan (Rt 79), East Windsor (NEW rt 571 and Rt 130), Highland Park (Rt 18 and Rt 27 I think)...

- Park meet, BS and BBQ...I don't know any parks except the one in freehold off business RT 33 near the Freehold raceway mall...

- Backyard house meet... My new house has no backyard, and the house is filled with ridiculously expensive things. I'm not even allowed on the couches. And the place is gated, so they probably won't let eveyone in anyhow. So who's got a good Driveway/Street/Neighborhood, and back yard with BBQ??

Also when is good...I work every weekend and every week...so I'm busy, but I deserve a day off...

So PICK A PLACE AND A DAY...NO EXCUSES THIS TIME...

I'm fine with any of the above, I'll follow the masses...or else I'm fine just meeting on like a weekday or weekend night for dinner and drinks...

Well...there is a six flags meet already planned for later in the summer. No use in going there more then needed ;)


Just to let everyone know my schedule because I know everyone cares greatly, i will never ever be able to attend a Saturday meet. With that out of the way, weekday nights are usually fine with me to even just catch up for a few drinks/food and with proper notice, I can easily handle most Sundays, so long as the events interest me.

As for parks, theres Mercer County, the Freehold one, wherever in the hell we had that first meet I went to, and im sure a slew of others.



I would like to see there is enough interest though from everyone, cause sadly i only really see about 4-5 of us posting. Axio? Masta? Pete? etc....throw us some love

hey guys... i can do most weekends.. i dont work at all on friday so we could all go out to eat.. i dont think i have any FULL days coming up to hang out but id def meet up for dinner and drinks somewhere

It's been a while since we all got together, so I'm down for a meet.
We could have a bbq at my house any weekend in July except for the last cause I'm going to Cougarfest (with the cougar this time).
I'll keep checking to see when we have a final day picked out to do something so I can request off from work.
Hopefully, it would be nice to see some old faces and some newbies of course.

i have a meet planned at a park/mini theme park/bar and grill for july 10th. if you guys want dont be shy there is plenty to do and plenty of shade and parking. its in central nj so everyone wont have to go to far. its a few posts down check it out those who are attending are hoping for a good turnout so please add yourselfs to the list

Us original NJNECOers were never big for meets like those...plus we're a group of lazy f*ks, so sitting, BSsing, Complaining that we're getting old or that our cars are/were slow, etc. is what we do best...

Plus I work weekends and weekdays at that, and won't take a weekend off (since I make like 75% of my money on weekends)...so a sunday evening would rock...anything after like 3-4pm I could probably do...

sundays nights work for me as well... im in LBI for the summer so i think marlboro is just east of here so that can def work.. so if anyone has any sundays that wont work for them i guess just post it.. im free and i can take off work or leave early if its on a weekend i work but i def want to see everyone again plus its gorgeous out now so itd be nice to give my car a bath and take a ride to meet up!

I hate the fact that i have to explain this.

Reason you probably havent got much interest is simple. Did you ask to see if everyone wanted to meet up at this blackbeards cave? Did you check to make sure the date worked ut for everyone? A lot of what Jeremy said a few posts up is true, we like to hang out, BS, talk about random stuff, and then call it a night. If people arent interested in the activity, then why would they attend? If the date doesnt work, why would they attend?


Take a peek at this thread now, asking about times, dates, and ideas and its getting interest. Its a simple concept, but one I dont think youre getting.


As for the 11th. Im not going because I cannot, otherwise I might have. Happy?


Back onto this thread topic....any of those dates I posted work fine for me. If we want Axio, any of the last 2 sundays of June work and i think we'll all need the planning time. Perhaps dare i say....a famous Poll is in order to gauge the best day? :shrug:

Ive been watching this thread w/ intrest. Sunday nights are tough for me with the kid as he has school the next day and needs to be in bed early (7:30/8:00).. I hate to eat and run so Im not sure if I can attend or not. That all really depends on whether or not Jen wants to come.. if not, then I can probably make it.. if so, gonna be tough. Ill mention it and see what she says.

It'll be long enough away to take off from work or make arrangements, and some time to decide actual location and time...

I'll make sure I'm off early that day, so I could probably meet around 3-4pm as long as we are relatively local (30-45 min)to where I am, or else I'll be late (as usual).

So, I am pretty certain I can make this. I haven't been to any meets since Jeremy's house last summer, with the scooby. I plan on bringing the SVT, woo-woo! :) Also, I just moved to a place in Linden, with a decent sized backyard, but the place is a huge mess. Maybe I can host something, once I fix the place up a bit and CLEAN it!
