I feel like getting one of those air vents similar to the one project cougar has on his car. I think the cost for the parts itself is fair, it's only $159 shipped from custom cougars website. My main concern would be the cost of installing it. I presume it would be quite expensive cause you'll need to cut a hole in the quarter panels and mold these vents into them. Well just want to get a rough estimate on how much this would cost to install. You can leave the paint cost out since I'll be repainting the whole car anyway. Oh by the way, is there anything else I should take into consideration aside from cost before I actually do this? Any possible disadvantages? Many thanks.

i picked up a little more cabin noise...but not too much. install cost i would have to guess would be about 500-1000$ depending on what you actually want...if your wanting the door to be custom cut like project cougar is it will increase the price in the 1000$ range im sure

No I only want the vents to be installed, but of course a nicely done job. When you say $500~1,000, does that include paint job or is it only for cutting holes and molding the vents. As I mentioned earlier, I will be repainting the car so Iam trying to a labor estimate excluding paint job. If it's over $500 for just installing vents, I guess I would just have to give up on the idea. The paint job itself would cost me alot so I can't spend to much on other things.

you will need the entire rear quarter panel painted and blended into the rest of the car... 500-1000 EASILY if not more in some cases... (tri- coats)

It's more expensive than I thought. Why don't companies make quarter panels with vents in them like they do for fenders? I believe it should be a selling product and it would be alot cheaper for us comsumers. I think the vents look great but I can't see myself spend $500+ for installs only.

quarter panels would cost more.........its the entire rear side skin....its alot of metal and has to cut off and the new one welded on....etc...etc...
modding isnt cheap...lol

same here... its actually quite easy and a blast to just cut into the side if your car but it is a project that has to be done correctly or your going to have a huge mess on your hands.. I don't believe there is any way of just painting a small portion after either.. your going to need at least the entire rear repainted (each quarter panel)
a brand new quarter panel is a HUGE HUGE skin and must be welded to the car... that itself parts and installation would be several grand I bet.

I just finished installing my Aerogear NSX vents last night and it's not as hard as you might think....you just have to take your time with your measurements and cutting then mold them from the inside of the hole you just cut.
