hello crew,
i'm new to the forum and new to the cougar. i have a 99 v6 auto. the day i bought the car, i happily drove it home to find the CEL come on. Great.
my code reader gives me P1744 - torque converter clutch solenoid circuit performance
the car shifts very hard after driving on the freeway, but works fine again if shut off for a minute and restarted.
i sure wish it would have done this while i was driving it.
anyone else had this problem?
