I thought the following was kind of interesting:

Project ERASE (http://www.yorkregionsavealife.com/Erase/ProjectErase.htm)

It explains what the police think is legal and what think is not.

It seems certain intakes, and NOS are legal!

NOS is legal but your insurance company must know you have it and most won't Insure you if you have Nos. So its kind of a double standard.

I swear Cops are targeting any cars that look modified, similar to Racial profiling! Its Racer profiling. I got pulled over on Monday. There was a car show the next block over that I didn't even know about. The cop was flagging down any and every car that looked modified. I never saw him go near the Radar gun Once, he just kept flagging down cars. He wouldn't even talk to me, This guy was a real A-Hole!

Yes Street Racing is illegal and you shouldn't do it. But just because some people do it doesn't mean everyone does it. If one black guy kills someone does thst mean they all do, NO! Cops have the same mentality when it comes to street racing! F-ing lowlife Idiots!

I thought the law in Canada was you were allowed to have it, just the bottle had to be empty while driving on city streets.

Here is a quote from the site above!

It is legal to possess nitrous oxide. However, the system must be securely mounted. The bottle should be mounted rigidly away from crumple zones. Hatchbacks with bottles containing compressed gas must have a blow-by tube routed underneath the car; in case of failure the gas vents out of the vehicle, not in it. Do not drop it or damage the valve and do not grind off the bottle's date of manufacture. Secure bottles firmly in their mounting brackets, preferably with rubber insulation to protect the bottle. The lines from the bottle to the engine must be of the highest quality and kept separate from all heat sources.

Note: Although legal to possess, most insurance companies will not insure a vehicle equipped with nitrous oxide systems.

Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act: Fail to meet safety requirements, safety standards and safety marks while transporting dangerous goods. (Section 2) - no set fine

Not only do you have to show that the NOS is being carried safely, but you also need a TDG card to actually transport it. If you are trucker you probably have one, but I doubt most have it. I bet that is where the cops can get you...

and i love how out of all the car parts they could put in their banner, they put a huge ricey APC muffler with LED's in it...

honestly - you want to get in the good crowd AND keep your nice fancy car? - go down to the local cop station and tell them you would like to make a donation $20 bucks or whatever... to their police foundation or prefered charity... and ask for stickers / decals... whatever they might have - and keep these things in the car. - then if you get pulled over for something ghey like that and you really WEREN"T doing anything - you can show (and prove) that you support THEIR foundation or charity. you stand a much better chance... a $110+ ticket, or a couple bucks & the feeling that your money has gone to a good cause. :)

This E.R.A.S.E. thing sounds like its pretty big - maybe even just ask for window decals... put one along the bottom of your driver window or on the back of your car somewhere near your licence plate. Its temporary - so if you go to shows, just take it off, and put a new one on afterwards.

It sucks... but in this world, they hold all the cards and can have all the power... so if we dont want to conform to their rules, you at least have to show them that you are not part of the problem - and thats one way to prove it.

i hate them too... i will never put like... brand decals or anything like that - but to get on the cops 'good side' can save you alot of headaches ;)

as i said...they are usually the 5cent cheap sticker things... just slap it on for daily driving or a long roadtrip or whatever ... listen to the local news radio... sometimes they'll tell you that cops are on a blitz for "xxxxxxxx" this weekend - just put it on during those times... then rip it off when you see your friends / show or whatever ;)

its just crazy enough to work
