I don't know if this fits in this section or not. I am interested in getting into some rally/Solo racing. I am looking at the BFG T/A Drag Radial. The one with the cool tread. Will a slick like this hold up to the kind of cornering I can expect to be doing?

Drag radials typically won't be that great for autocrossing. They normally have softer sidewalls than you want for a good autocross tire. If you are looking to use streetable tires that are popular with autocrossers look at Falken Azenis, Kumho Ecsta MX. Those are some fairly inexpensive good tires that are not R rubber.

I run the Ecsta MX for my street tires and I've been very impressed by them. We've had a guy run drag radials locally (he just wanted to try autocross out). They held up OK, but as jomama said, the soft sidewalls are not ideal for these conditions.

tire rack or discount tire are your best bets. or try and find a sports car magazine. there are several companies that sell autox tires and you could find them all there

TireRack is where I go for my race tires. As Jason said, Discount Tire is another good place to check.

The current fast tires are the Kumho Ecsta V710 and Hoosier A3SO5. The Kumho Ecsta V700 and Kumho Victoracer V700 are also popular autocross r-comps, but not as fast as the 710s or Hoosiers.
