I'm due for inspection in July, and I know I won't pass at a regular station for a few reasons. #1 I have the front windows tinted 40%. #2, I have gutted precats and and aftermarket exhaust/catalytic system. And #3 I recently pulled two codes and my CEL was on, but it went off and the codes were still in the system. However, today I went to pull the codes again but they were gone, but I'm not sure if it's for good. So does anyone know a place around Northern/Central Jersey where I can get it inspected? I don't care how much it costs. Thanks guys

Theres a gas station in Nutley where I got mine done. He took all of 3 minutes lol. He drove it up on a dynojet, revved it a little, waited for a print out and gave me the sticker. He told me if I got pulled over, I got the tint and exhaust on AFTER the inspection. I think it was $68.
Ill get you the address and phone number tommorow if your interested.

Don't post info like that here, it is illegal here in NJ to do that. Withe the new standards the inspection place must have the proper computer data to file with the state for them to issue a sticker. There are some places that bypass and overlook things, however it is illegal, so please keep this on PM's...don't want anyone getting in trouble.
I have an AWD car, they pretty much bypass every test for my car...my emissions could be through the roof, and I never get tested... :)
I was failed at a state inpection staton for front tints, it was cool cause I was taking them off anyhow, being I was pulled over twice in the same week for front tints...oh welll

no problem. I think the new standards are BS anyway. I think they are just told to fail cars at random, everybody in this state hates the new inspection procedure.

STS on Rt 1 in Monmouth Junction ... as long as your CEL isnt on, you will pass the new emissions test.
