... and for $49 are you happy with it?

I've been thinking of getting one for a while, but keep thinking the price is a little high.

i do, and it's beautiful...alot of the CC stuff i have people think is stock and make comments like "wow, that's really cool how mercury put the cougar head on the shift knob/lighter plug"..if you have the stock shift knob yet, it's time for you to update to something that dresses up the inside more..plus it shortens your shift throw 10 meters and adds 25-29 horsepower...

doens't that got too hot in the summer? or too cold in the winter? i know the metal one that came with my steeda shifter almost burned my hand the other day. i had to go back to my tore up stock shifter knob for the mean time.

The CC Short shifter is garbage, mine broke after 2 months, and of course CC doesn't warranty it! If you want a short shifter get the B&M one. But I think Goldie just wants to replace the shift knob??? Mine is much better than the stock one but it does get extremely cold in the winter and hot in the summer. To the point where you can't touch it!

yeah... I don't want to change it out for the short shifter, but just the knob and like the etched logo one. The thing I don't like is the price!

I noticed the guy I bought my billet antenna & handbrake from on eBay had similar shifter knobs for around $25.00 with the shift pattern, Focus logos and blanks, so asked him about doing something with the coug head logo, and he said the CC coug head knob is actually his - but he can not sell them except to CC since they provided the art. So... in short, it's "at least" a 2x markup.

I'm thinking of contacting him again, and asking about using the cursive "Cougar" text, like I use in my signature... or the retro cougar body logo - if he can etch a one-off knob. That I would be willing to pay $50 for.

My handbrake gets cold & warm, but haven't noticed it so bad that you couldn't touch it (or at least as of yet!)

i have the cc head one and it is a lot nicer that the regular one, but it does get hot in the summer and cold in the winter, not unbearable tho....
