Since it's right in the middle of the state, I thought it'd be a good way to get eastern and western new yorkers together.
if enough people are interested and willing to drive here, I'll set it up.

Aaryk, I'm down for Syracuse as well.

However, if no one from Empire West is interested do you want to make it Utica instead since it's a hour closer for the Albany people? I'm about a mile or two off the thruway(exit 31). It doesn't matter to me either way, it's up to you guys.

FYI - I think July 17th is the date for the Syracuse Nationals show at the fairgrounds.

the 17th is the end of the nationals,
I will be there on saturday, but sunday i am willing to sacrifice for a meet.
i wasn't sure if the nationals would be a problem or an asset for a meet here.
if you like classic and muscle cars,
syracuse will be the place to be that weekend.
I'll tell you right now, though,
the streets and parking lots around here will be packed,
but i know a few places that will most likely be free, and easy to find.

If you guys would rather meet in albany, that's fine with me,
especially since it seems like no one from western new york has any interest anyways.

Hopefully I'll know what my cars deal is this upcomming week... was acting nasty yesterday and might be in need of a new alt again soon... any of you guys ever done an alt? Be a nice little project to attempt... could try a hand at doing the big-3 wires too or whatever... either way, I've got plenty of LED's to go around now (red and blue)

Brian, I dunno about the car. I was just up there this past monday and they were talking about spraying it hopefully :rolleyes: sometime this week. HOWEVER even if they do get the color and the clear coat down, there's still 3 days of wetsanding and 2 days of buffing....... I really wanted to take the car to NJ on the 9th for the tunerfest show, but we'll see........ I'm 99% sure I'd have it for a meet on the 17th......... Amanda

Scott (nybluecoug) said something about possibly meeting in utica? If that makes it easier for some of the western empire members we can always do that. Utica's only 1.5 hours (roughly) from albany, not a bad drive at all....

I don't think I will be able to come, but who knows. I will know last minute if I can go or not, but I know my way up there and it's no biggie for me to find out where you all are. I will keep you informed. Tough for me right now to go much of anywhere without headlights... I am down to one low beams thanks to a freak storm. Hopefully I'll be swapping in some 01-02 Aussie headlights since they are cheaper than domestic OEM.

Scrup: Lets do those LEDs this time! Blue all the way. After we do that I'm going to convert some of my other lighting over to LEDs as well. I'm also thinking about a way to light up my speaker box since it's fiberglass with blue LEDs or a neon tube for when I open my trunk.


I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again as well!

Brian, I'm starting to see some opposition to the meeting in albany...... Why don't we try meeting out west, that way scott, Jay, and Mike wouldn't have to make the ENTIRE drive again. We can mod led's anywhere-i'm pretty sure. I'm just trying to make it fair for everyone. Just a thought. Amanda

I thought Utica (it's sort of in the middle of Albany and cuse') would be ideal because it's an hour less for mike and an only an hour give or take for everyone else. Rain or shine I have an enclosed patio with a BBQ and a one stall garage if anyone wants to do something with their car (LEDs ect..I know I want my LEDs done!) and no one would have to park on the street.

Like I said though it doesn't matter to me it's up to you guys (and gals) and what you think is fair like Amanda said. If everyone wants to go to Nationals and do Syracuse instead then hey, fine with me too! I thought I would just offer my place up as an option.

Well im in syracuse too so i think syracuse is much better becuse ive been on this site on and off for about yearsand a half and still have yet to see a meeting happin in syracuse so i say syracuse but i think i could do utica also the people from syracuse already lets meet up sometime just let me know

OK, Here's the details.............. We're meeting in UTICA on Sunday July 17th (that's a week from today :)) The meet is going to be held at Scott's house! (thanks Scott)
All who plan on attending here's the details, We're going to all meet at exit 31 of the thruway at 12- NOON. Scott will meet us all there and we can head over to his house from there.
I once again need a count on who's planning on attending! As the date gets closer I'll pm my cell to those of you who don't have it, so if anyone is running late that day, we can all keep in touch.
