i went to the track wednesday...and it sucked.

i need to set it up to where i can NOT spray in first gear in order to get out of the whole better!

anyways i ran 0.50095 (.500 is perect for our track ;) )
2.622 60 fr. (this is what really KILLED my time!!!)
9.298 594 ft.
77.69 mph
9.87770 et. 1/8 th mile

i cant wait to go back when i get some tires so i can LAUNCH like i want to!

EDIT: sorry here are some more details: i have intake, headers, y-pipe, true borla, 50 shot

Dude , are ya spraying right out of the hole? Even I wouldnt do that, even with tires, id be afraid to break something. It takes some practice to find that sweet spot where you can spray at the right time.

HELL NO! if i were to spray it right out the hole i would have ran an 11.XXX! i just ride the clutch a lil bit to get out of the hole and then baby it past 3500rpms then nail it to the floor. the only thing is it takes some practice to get it out the hole fast when you can't go full throttle...that's why i am getting a window switch pronto! then i'll go back and see what she can do with some radials!

better call carquest and go ahead and orde a couple extra shafts!

put it this way if you look down a few posts you'll see a timeslip from the last time i went to the track...it was a 9.5 with pretty much the same setup, BUT without the 50 shot!

next time i go back i will at least have a window switch to control the juice out the hole(that doesn't sound right).

Dude, Aaron I just remembered... Your CEL isnt probably helping much with your A/F. I bet if you get that fixed and tune, youll be putting down some good times.



BTW- This joint needs some new threads like a 15 second / 14 second/ 13 second club type deal.

i'm workin on the CEL's...

as for wheel hop in second...maybe you need some better tires. well, i don't know...i was only spraying the 50 at the track. on the street when i spray i can "make" the tires spin all the way thru 2nd if i hit second hard and floor it at the same time. it sounds and feels good but i know it would translate into breakage at the track doing that!

it still has a lond way to go but i think i can definitely hit 8's/13's by the end of the summer

1) window switch
2) tires = FAST! :biggrin:
3) fix CEL's
4) drive it like i don't care

nah dude my set up problem isn't the tire it's the suspension.
I'm still rockin stock struts with roush spring on a 2000 cougar with 238FWTQ:biggrin: bad combo

i still have plans on doing that i just don't know when i am going to get started. i couldn't resist the nitrous kit for only 200 bucks! and i decided to take alot of my money and go ahead and payoff my car this summer so that i wouldn't have to make anymore car payments when college starts back in august...but it will come! sooner or later!

hell, i already think i could easily break into the 13 with no more than some radials and the 75 shot...with a lil cleaning up ofcourse.

i'll definitely keep you guys posted on what i ACTUALLY DO. lol
