seat brackets?

does anyone know where to get a set of racing seat brackets or how to modifiy the stock ones to work? the seats used to be in a focus, but my friend changed the colors so he didnt need red and black seats anymore so i bought them for $75 for the pair. any help would be great.

I just did mine yesterday. I used the stock brackets and modified them to work with the racing seats. It was very easy and pretty much self explanatory. With the pics I attached you can get a pretty good idea as to what needs to be done.

I used two 2x37in steel strips (that I got from home depot) and had the shop foreman from the lincoln dealership I used to work for, weld the plates to the stock seat tracks and drill the hole to mount to the bottom of the seats.

Cost about $40 for everything.

That's pretty much the way I was thinking of doing it, just wasn't sure if it could be done like that. Luckily, I work at a home depot import warehouse, so I think I get a discount on store purchases, and I have a friend that welds so I'm looking a really cheap seat brackets
