Just curious how you autocrossers treat a typical event in terms of normal scheduled maintenance - specifically oil, tire rotation, transmission fluid, the simple everyday stuff?
Obviously an event is more wear and tear than normal driving; but, you really can't use true event mileage on a 1 for 1 basis since it is relatively low (0.5 to 1 mile per run x 3 to 5 runs).
I am kind of using an "out of the blue" formula of adding 500 miles to the car for each event in terms of maintenance intervals. On the other hand, I've met folks who change their full synthetic engine oil and filter after every event no matter how many miles since the last change. That's nice but I believe overkill.
So, what are you and your colleagues thoughts and practices on normal maintenance and autocrossing?
Thanks
