well i been looking into this a lot and i read that some people sent emails to ford about this problem and they got there moonroof fixed for free and even got the metal parts from the 01-02 moonroof put on instead of the plastic ones! how can i go about doing this???:confused:

i think theres might have been under warenty
If you are close to your warranty end, such as being only two months past or 5k miles past, then dealerships can help you out by getting Ford to pay for some of, or the entire repair. It helps if you bought your car at that dealership, or you have had your vehicle serviced there in the past. If you are two years past your warranty, then I don't see any dealership helping you out.
Your best bet would be to find a wrecked 01-02 Cougar and getting the whole assy.
