CougarFest Enhancement: Tame the Dragon!

I’ve posted (in CougarFest) an invitation to join me in driving the Tail of the Dragon (http://www.tailofthedragon.com/index.html), a famous (infamous) Smoky Mountain road loved by driving enthusiasts.

Believe it or not, I've done at least part of that. When I was living in Georgia, we were once coming back from a bike race in Tennessee. There was a guy in our club with a bubble Neon who seemed to think he was driving a sports car, so he took us through it. It is a pretty cool road - twisting and hilly, and the weather was absolutely beautiful that day.

I'm not going to be able to join you, though - it would double the travelling time to Indianapolis, and I'll have the camper (with the Cougar in tow) anyway. :)

Edit: Looked more closely at the site - Deals Gap is the section I was on, I think.

Yeah, it's a detour... whether I'm coming from/going to FL, VA (Newport News) or Syracuse, NY.....

But I'm doing it anyway!
