Want to paint some of interior like vent trim rings, silver trim on dash (like console, etc), and door pull handles (curved bits with cougar head in 'em).

But I dont want to pull anymore than needed off of the dash and doors. Is there a way to pop off this stuff, or will i need to gut the whole thing? (in which case, i'll just forget it)

well technically nothing just "pops" off, but it is REALLY easy to remove if thats the part that ur worried about...most people, including myself, just removed the whole dash to paint, takes about 15-30 minutes if uve done it b4, hour tops. i suppose, however, that u could do some creative taping and get all the stuff that u want painted done that way...but i dont see that working out too well. good luck with whatever u decide

the funny part is... by the time you are done taping everything off proprely, you could of removed AND reinstalled the dash......

true that! It's not that hard man, trust me. I am a n00b and had no problems. The only thing I have left to do is around the vent rings and the rest of the center console, but i'm waiting till I get a new shifter knob.

I just did this over Memorial Day weekend. I did it in sections so that I woulnd't be overly rushed (as far as painting and reassembling). This is reallypretty easy. Use this link (http://cougardb.com/howtoshow.php?howtoid=2) (at cougardb) - it shows you step-by-step how to remove things.

The only VERY difficult part was the passenger's side vent circle, but I think I just went at it wrong...I understand you can get to the clips from the front of the circle.

I did tape off the door panels and the console parts because I don't have a hot glue gun and didnt want to break the plastic welds. (There is also a how-to somewhere to remove the door panels.)

Here is a pic of how mine turned out.

I've seen Claymore's interior, and it looks great!

Just bite the bullet, take it apart, and paint it. ;) You'll love it!
