" The changing of the spark plugs and the wires is just seperate from my problem but it all happend in the same day after changing them "

While tunning up my ZN, i pulled out some spitfire plugs, I put in the motorcraft plugs and put the plugs on wrong. It missfired. Well after i put them on correctly, changed the wires too. I also changed the fuel filter, Whats happening now is that sometimes it feels like the car is shaking at low rmps around 1k-2k after that it runs very fine. Also where the Gas milage is on the ZN there is a flashing symbol that looks like a circle with this marking in the middle --> ! <---- it has a pointy circle around it. Also when that flashing symbol comes on, I cant go faster then like 75mph and the car start to hessitate. Also the Rpms Wind up and the car goes slow to accelerate. Also you smell my tranny fluid. I pop open the hood and you see tranny fluid all over the motor and the hood. I checked in the manual for the symbol but that symbol isn't in the book. They have a similar one, but its for the ABS. Any suggestions what that symbol means ?
P.S I dont see no transmission light come on either.
P.S.S Any1 know where I can find a Pan gasket for the Tranny ??? Napa, autozone, Pepboys, Discount, Advance autoparts doesn't sell it. Im surprise napa sells the tranny filter but no tranny gasket. neways I could use some help on finding some other parts too. (new)

1) Clock spring
2) Front Left and Right strut mounts

Sorry to bring bad news....or it sounds like it. Click on this link right here..... a guide to all dash lights. (http://www.fastcougar.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=5&threadid=119825&FTVAR_MSGDBTABLE=)

It looks that your " ! " is an automatic transaxle problem.... whatever that is?

And what you said about it feel like it's sputtering at 1-2k rpms sounds exactly what mine was doing. I had a thread all about it a few months ago I think? I don't know what fixed it for me....I had lots of stuff done to it after that....new alternator, battery, brakes (not that it has anything to do with that...lol) Then my parents figured that to complete the face lift, they'd take her to get the recall on the fuel pump replaced. She doesn't do the sputtering anymore....lol. Don't know if that helps at all

Well when that light came on for me it was too late. Mine the car would never shift into second. Wish you luck.
