People can say what they want about Hondas, but they are awesome cars. They will run forever and last you alot longer.

That's Ls/Vtec if you were not sure. Mods now include 98 Gsr head, Skunk 2 Intake manifold, Cougar cold air intake extension converted to short ram intake, Type R header, High flow cat, Type R exhaust, Uberdata w/datalogger, Lots of suspension stuff. Clutch and flywheel are necessary now. A turbo kit is also maybe going to be purchsed here in the next 5 days. But the datsun may take priority.

I figured I'de give my car some umpf before I spent the rest of my money on the Datsun. Speaking of which, anyone know any good welders/fab's who can do my rust repair under my battery tray? Around cincy would be best.

man that one pic of the open block is deceving it looks like you have massive cylinder damage in #2 but in the other pic it looks ok.
Looks like you guys had fun modding her up.

o man that looks bad...I guess it's just the reflection and carbon build up. Been planning on sea-foaming her but the head is almost brand spanking new thanks to my machine shop. So there's not much point.

We started at 8pm. Got the old head off and a lot of other work done by 10. But we ran into some snaggs tapping the oil line. Everything finished and key turned at 4am. So that's 6 hours for a head swap including water pump, and oil pump. I had an issue with the chip that I burned so after about 4 revisions I finally got Vtec to engage when I woke up the next morning. It's no fun driving home at 5am tired as you wouldnt believe with a heavy heavy valve train and 1/2 a cam. All worth it when I raced my clueless friend with a celica. His face was priceless!
