I'm going with the cleavite 77's and wanted to know if it's worth it or necessary to get better rods or springs? If so, any suggestions?
If you read one post down, you'll see that the stock PM rods are good for over 300fwhp. Are you exceeding this?
Springs? Which springs? Strut springs? Valve springs? Throttle springs? I'm going to make a gross assumption that you mean valve springs, in which case I'd say no, unless you are rebuilding the motor for a higher rev limit, where valve float can occur, i.e. over 7200RPMs. Until then, stock valve springs are fine.

Thanks Dan,
You assume correctly, I've been doing good deal of research for a while now on a hybrid 99 3.0L. I'm getting close to starting the project and just wanted to tie up some ends by asking the pros who have done it. I'm swapping the 2.5 heads onto a 99 taurus engine since it seems to be the least complicated.
