...is the break-away mirrors!!

I cannot tell you how much cash these have saved me over the years!

I finally gave my car the cleaning it deserved, and I just rolled down to the corner pizza shop to grab a slice. I pull over to park on the side of the road, and I'm backing up parallel to the curb when WHAM! Suddenly something hits my car! I look, and it's some crack addict (LITERALLY) that was wobbling down the sidewalk and fell over right into my car and broke my mirror off!!

I get out, and this guy's staggering away down the sidewalk, I don't even think aware of what just happened. I walk around to the passenger side, and click the mirror back into place. Just as I'm doing so, two girls who were walking down the street say "I can't believe wtf just happened?!". I say "What, you mean that some crack addict fell off the sidewalk and broke the mirror off my car while I was parking?". They go "Yeah!" Me: "Welcome to Crackdale". (The area's actually called Parkdale).

What a jackass! This corner is serious dealer, and twitching user central... scuzz city... I see people getting lynched there all the time, and people seriously high on crack falling over and getting in fights and stuff. Good times! ;) Love those mirrors though. Everytime something like that happens... I just click`em back into place and move on...

Hmmm... my original mirror did not break away - it just broke. I remember looking at it and I couldn't figure out how it was supposed to break away. I bought a new mirror and I can see how that one was supposed to break away. They were definitely different designs...

What part of Mo town do you live in (drummerboy827). I don't live thier but I visit my friend who lives in sunneyside a couple of times a year. He lives like 1 street down from grant street behind Ashbrook licker store and Maracies.

Sadly, more or less in it. Actually, just north of it (College and Lansdowne area), but I roll through the epicenter every day. Giving notice tomorrow though, and will move to high park instead!

I was unaware of this also. I might have to try it just for the fun of it and to see the look on my wife's face.

My passenger side mirror was loose one time, and I popped it back in. I thought it was just about to break off, I didn't think you would be able to snap them back on. Aren't there wires attached to it?

i live in motown in southpark (1999MadCat)...i known right where you're talking about....ashbrooke is a great place for good prices on liquor (switch the little sticker on similar things, and the chicks that ring it up have no idea) u can get 50 dollar bottles of vodka for 10 bucks...

i have a black cougar with dual exhaust, smoked side makers and tinted windows...i think its the only one there. if u see me flag me down...we'll drink brew at my house.

that's what i thought at first, but i'm sure not everyone has power mirrors. Even than, i think theres a bit more wire to em, so they'd still break but than just hang rather than drop.

I learned the hard way of the mirrors. Big Milk Truck side swiped me and wham, dangling mirror. Luckily insurance still paid for a new one that i didn't even need. woo hoo.
