I have seen pics of a Contour SVT y-pipe. It appears to have smooth bends in it. Here are the questions:
1. Will it bolt on to a V6 Cougar (no mods)?
2. Is it a better-flowing pipe than stock?
3. What price range would be reasonable?
Thanks, george

your best bet is the trubendz high flow y-pipe (link) (http://www.trubendz.com/home.asp?producttype=exhaust&productfor=cougar&pagetype=main7) overnight ship it and meet us at Atomics on monday and we will help you put it on

Hmmm...zalec strikes again! ;) How does that answer any of the questions I asked? And why didn't you just start at the block (headers, y-pipe, cat-back)? Then I could REALLY spend money! Of course, I could go buy a different car, too - the possiblities are endless. I could mark your post as the answer - which it is - just not to my questions ;)
I might roll in Monday, but not sure yet.

Yes, the Contour, Mystique and Cougars are all the same underhood and underchasis. They're all the same car with a different body.

SVT y pipe is the same that is on your car. Don't waste your money.
