Me and my crew go street racing every Friday and Saturday nights Here in Seattle Area, One night this guy walked up to me and asked what I had under the hood so I told him. Just the normal stuff V6, cold air, headers, ECU Upgrade, cat back exhaust, pulley's and SVT throttle body. So I asked him what he had done to his car. He said that he had the whole 9 yards asked him to pop his hood and didn't want to. So asked him to race he had his girl with him so I wanted to make him look stupid so we lined up to race, warmed up my tires and was ready to race. Flagger lined us up, dropped his hands and we took off....by the time i was in 3rd gear he was a so far behind and just kept going I blew his doors off right in front of his girl. That is the best feeling in the world to make him look like a p.o.s. Cops showed up like 30 mins later so the 200 cars that showed up that night were off to another track. I happened to pull up next to him to get on the freeway I-5 we took off and once again I blew his doors off and hit 130mph... that was such a good night.
Keep up all the good work Cougar Owners!

I have the bfg Goodrich scorchers, they are one of the most stickiest tires you can buy, so if you do a burn out you warm the tire up right......How about you check into it. Believe what you want.

Nobody really said they didnt believe you. Its just the way you went about telling the story. No offense, but it sounds like a story that I would see on a local riceboy forum. The whole cops raiding the place, and running the 200 cars away sounds like youve been watching a little too much Fast and The Furious.
But anyways, Good kill on the Integra. Was it a DC2 ? Four door? Did you here the infamous Vtec kick in at 9000k rpms

lmao, omg:rolleyes: those tires are horrible.....they're hard and not that grippy. i think you'd get better traction with stock all-seasons:rofl: YOSLVR442 is right, heating them up will not help you.

just bc the story sounds like the movie its the truth.....Ill take video clips this wkend and pics and show you that im telling the truth. Go to NWstreetracing.com and they have pics of just about every weekend. I got a Superchip power programer which changed the rpm red line, hp and my spd. and torque. They never stopped making the scorchers there is a 7 month waiting list.....well at least for the size that I have....check them out at tirerack.com it was a 99 integra 2 dr. didn't know if it was a DC2

welcome to the forums btw...
I love when people refer to their friends as a crew, very humerous. And there is no point to warming up street tires but you can keep on killing your car and burning miles off your tires if you want.
Oh yea, was Hector out? He has a last name, but i cant pronounce it.

I could never find one of those for the 2.5L. I thought they only made those for the 3.8 and 4.6
Where did you get yours?
lol it changes TQ and HP huh? what did it change it to? You tuned it on a dyno right? What did you put down?
Just curious

I would honestly nix those scorchers and get a real tire...but with the power you're puttin down, traction isn't really an issue, so it doesn't matter.
ATX or MTX??

I bought my programer in idaho when I lived there, moved back to wa. in sept 04 Got it from a ford dealership in Meridian Idaho called Meridian Ford. Before I did the programer and had a portable dyno machine I rented and ran 195hp with 187 ft/lbs of tq......bumped it up to 205hp and 201 ft/lbs of tq..... Hey plague my sn is 2FNFAST that is what my plates say on my car........

was that before or after the h/i/e? Isnt that a little high for a 2.5 umm MTX? I though most 3.0L are putting down around 210-220 at the wheels?
you running short ram? CAI?
whats your exhaust set up? cat back? piping size?
where did you get your headers?

Either the dyno was WAYYYYYY off in your favor or you're a liar. Sorry just don't see 200fwhp with those mods.
What did you tune/adjust with the programmer to "bump it up"???
Also I just wanted to clarify that you are saying you made 195fwhp with I/H/E and pulleys.

05-26-2005, 01:38 AM
And that's still on the assumption it's a manual...if it's an auto, there's no chance of those numbers whatsoever with those mods.
So, 2FNFAST...is your car equipped with an ATX or MTX??

5spd. Got my headers from CC, That hp is at the crank not to the wheels.....the programmer comes already programmed to push the engine past the factory limits. Cat back exhaust with 2 3/4 pipe...dual but split near the rear of the car. Like I said I was there you guys were not, I had the guy who I rented it from set everything up...you don't have to believe me at all. You guys can just get a life, im not going to call your bs on your cars........bc I can do the same and just say yeah you don't have this or that

You can't measure crank horsepower.
You can only estimate. And you know, when we estimate, we make an "EST" out of "I" and "MATE"... :goofy:

Well I was calling BS because I asked what you put down on the dyno and you said 205hp, which on a dyno would be at
the front wheels which is not possible on your car. So I'll ask again, what ACTUAL numbers came out on the little graph that the
portable dyno printed out for you? Here's a hint, dyno's can't measure crank hp.
You can only estimate. And you know, when we estimate, we make an "EST" out of "I" and "MATE"...

gyger dude you need to get a life.......Ill put some money on it that a dyno machine can measure at the crank......check into it more jackass. Why don't you go rent one and dyno your car and you do have the option to measure at the crank or the wheels. Why do some manufactures list 2 different #'s such as hp at the wheels.........and hp at the crank........I have worked at a GM performance shop in Mountain Home Id. for 4 years. I know what I am talking about. im done wasting my time with small bs and little boys!

dood chill! go :smoke-t: if you have to but relax. Considering you are still a noob, your statements are somewhat hard to believe. Most of us are quite experienced with our cars, how they perform as well as ACTUAL STATS such as crank HP/wheel HP and what mods will GENERALLY get you your HP at the wheels.
Why we are flaming you about your hp ratings is because so many factors can alter your "crank" hp. Since you stated that you used to work in a GM Performance Shop, you should understand that fact. You should also be aware that on average crank drive train loss is 15%-18% for MTX trannys. ON AVERAGE...... when measuring peak HP/TQ #s, most people are doing that for performance. They dont want "average," they want exact #'s so they know exactly what mod, tuning, change in programming has done to the performance of their engine. Think about it.
Too many factors can change that average #. Old tranny fluid, different trannys, tranny wear, drive train friction... even tire size and final drive ratios, the list goes on. For all we know, someone could dyno their car with tiny 12" wheels and net more HP/TQ then what their really is. That is why we demand #s at the WHEELS ONLY. Just too many variables.
You should be aware of this... expecially since you used to work in a GM Performance Shop. And dont tell me that you did not come upon any noobs in that shop with more money then brains who though they knew everything there was about cars and hp. What did you do.. make fun of them. When you come to us, with no proof of your claims.... this is what happens.

Ok then scan, take a picture, or video tape the sheet you got from your dyno that states your Crank HP and FWHP.
Also I'm interested in knowing the exact way that they calculated your drive train loss for your specific car. And
you still haven't posted your FWHP....was it that low?
You scan your sheet and I'll scan my dyno sheet when I get tuned June 4th. we'll compare ok?
Why do some manufactures list 2 different #'s such as hp at the wheels Crank numbers are larger than
WHP numbers and make the car seem stronger. But working at a dealership I would've thought you figured
that out on your own. Oh and posting crank hp numbers is....teh GheY!!!!
Also you left out the fact that you ran on a hydraulic/brake dyno.....most people don't even use those. That's why I said dynos
don't measure at the crank....that and because that number is completely worthless since that amount of
power never makes it to the ground.
At first I thought you were some 18yr old kid with a little bit of automotive knowledge but after the name calling
and temper tantrum it's quite obvious you have the mentality of a 12 yr old and are probaly 16yrs old.
Good luck with your car. :)

the only way to get the true crank hp is to pull the engine and throw it on an engine dyno. no dyno that you roll your car onto will measure crank hp.

Quite an entertaining topic.
While I don't doubt you raced another car.. thats not the funny part.
At first I was going to comment on the sig
" 2nd place is the 1st looser....."
I had a friend in HS who had this painted on his helmet, same misspelling and all.
As for the scorchers, they need no heating they are a radial tire, not a bias tire.
Its not a bad tire, I currently wear it(all black). And they are no longer available from Tirerack
I bought mine on closeout.
"they are one of the most stickiest tires you can buy" -no their not, it might be the stickiest tire you could afford to buy
Well most other points have been addressed here, so I'll leave saying thanks for the smiles this AM
