Yeah, I'm breaking the silence.
For those of you who COULDN'T make it, I can recap a little.
I think everybody had a pretty swell time. I got there at about 10:30 and me and Aaron started tearing into my springs. By the time Brian got there at around noon (my times are all estimated - I didn't wear a watch), we were WAY into it.
Aaron, Brian, and myself were the only ones there until about 2pm, when Chris came over. Brian and I stayed on my Roush spring job, while Aaron swapped parts from his I4 to his new V6. Chris laid into his CAI install, which was thwarted due to the CURSED cordless drill (if ANYONE ever wants to install a CAI, be SURE to bring a drill that you can plug in). But regardless, he got his battery tray cut and his fuse box and battery loose, so he's ready to go.
Slade, Diane, George, and Sarah all showed up later (I was so deep into the suspension, I missed a lot of what was going on out there), as well as Mark (driving the Tempo - YEAH!). Then Jamie and Stacy arrived - A NEW RECORD - and started busting out the LED swaps and the clear turn signals.
So as far as mods go, I think we accomplished a lot. I got Roush springs and clear turn signals. Diane got clear turns and some new LED's in the dash and door switches. George installed his SVT TB and cable. Chris got the full prep for the CAI, and Aaron did too, I think. Slade got some new LED's as well. Aaron got the taillights and tail covers swapped over. We all had pizza for dinner and hung out until after 11pm.
George's car looks HAWT with the drop and the kit. The thing is REALLY coming together nicely. And Jamie's demon-eyes were the thing, man. And I'm sitting a little closer to the highway now... I'll get some photos soon. But suffice to say, the Roush springs are SWEET. Just gotta get my exhaust worked out, and I'm read for 'Fest. Thanks BIG TIME to Brian for all the help on the job. We both learned a lot about the Cougar suspension, whether we wanted to or not.
So whoever's got pictures, get going with 'em.

And oh yeah - in keeping with my always breaking stuff any time I try to fix it -
I left the house on Sunday afternoon to get gas, and as I pulled out of my subdivision, I hit a rock - clack, clack, clack, all the way to the back of my car, bouncing into the undercarriage. About half a mile later, I was coming to my turn, and when I hit the brakes, I heard a TERRIBLE, AWFUL noise. I pulled off the road real fast and got out to have an inspection. Forst thing I notice is that my rotor looks weird. Where there is normally a thin ring of rust around the outside edge (where the pad doesn't touch), there is none. The entire face of the rotor is clean. This tells me my caliper, or at least the pad, has shifted. Closer inspection reveals that THAT WAS NO ROCK - it was my lower caliper bolt! Gone.
So I drove home slowly, using just the emergency brake to slow down when necessary, and drove the Saturn to the junkyard. And thanks to a busted-up 95 Contour LX, I got a replacement bolt and the Cougar's happy again, stopping on a dime.
You knew it had to happen

ill try to get my pics up tomorrow. im working every day this week from 4-10, and have to sneak in a tennis banquet on wednesday. and i have to finalize a powerpoint for the banquet before then in my hour and a half of spare time each day. thats not to mention the graduation invitations i have to get out this week, and cleaning of the basement for prom afterparty before this saturday. but, i will try :) i have a lot of good pics to put up!
and andy, you forgot that chris just happened to have an extra intake in his trunk, so i baught that off of him and installed it, along with my FSTB from the I4. i also relocated my fuse box underneath the battery so im ready to drill for my CAI. and i, as well as slade and diane (because george (mainly sarah lol) and jamie KICK ASS at that stuff!!!).

w00. fun time had by all. that was pretty crazy i had that intake, i just forgot to put it on the for sale section so i guess you lucked out. my friend has a corded and cordless drill, so all i have to do is drill the hole and i'm set.. very sweet. good to hear about the springs though, seeing you installing those has soooo made me want some lowering springs. it sucked i had to leave, i found out my co-worker was scheduled till 9:30.. we close at 10, he so could have stayed the extra half hour but was being a jerk. oh well. i really would have liked some clear corners.
all in all, it was nice to meet everyone again, i still feel like the newb of the group but everyone is so nice it didn't really matter.

Too funny. I was going to post this morning if no one else had. I AIM'd Aaron yesterday and asked were the post was and he told me some crap about working and having no time. Who would have thought NECO could take a backseat in Aaron's life?
Andy pretty much summed up everything. I just got clear lenses (thank you Jamie and Pyro) and blue LED's in some switches (thank you Sarah, Jamie, and George). I didn't think I was going to like the lenses but after looking at them I love them on the silver. Slade also put on my passenger side mirror that I got from a junkyard like weeks ago.
I hope George's throttle body is doing well. He ended up with a CEL, but he can tell you about it. He's almost as bad as Mark when it comes to freaking out about CEL's!
Thanks for letting me bring Paco. He's a little shy when it comes to meeting new people especially men. Something must've happened to him before I got him. I think by the end of the day he was OK with most everyone. He only pooped once and I cleaned it up ;)
I would also like to mention this. We were eating in the garage. Aaron's mom came out and said something, then she says "Where's Mark?" We thought it was funny. Be sure to tell your mom she's the coolest and thanks for letting us all hang out again.
I had tons of fun and hope to do it again soon. Thanks again for hosting!!

I am glad to hear that the mods I did were a help and not a hazard. lol Staci and I had a great time, even though we got there later then expected. But hey at least we showed up:tongue: It was Sarah and George that actually did all of the led's for the cars, I just did the headlight swtiches. While they were at it they turned my trunk latch button to blue. Staci was happy that after 7 months the one light left in my car that was green, was finally made blue, but it's blindingly bright! I like it.
Slade I hope you got your gauges working again and that it didn't have anything to do with any of the work I did?
Aarons old cougar became the buffet for the day as you can see in one of Dianes pics.
We really did have a lot of fun and it was great seeing everyone and Meeting Slade, Chris and Paco for the first time. Staci told me to say Hi to everyone when I posted. I was pretty laid out when we left, so after driving for about 45 minutes I gave the wheel to Staci to get the rest of the way home. We watched episodes of friends on the way back and it was just enough to get us home safely.
As for pics, I have 7 or 8 of them but I uploaded them onto the sight I usualy use (iUploads.com) and when I went to get the address of them for posting it would give me a file not found page. It has been doing that for like 3 weeks now, so if anyone has a good free hosting site that I can join let me know, because that one is no longer working for me.

OOOH those pics made me laugh. I look kinda fat, Mark and Pyro look kinda high, Slade's cleaning George's pipes like always ;) and Aaron's LED's look like UFO's. It's nice to see that my hood doesn't even match my car. Andy's car turned out very nice. What a world of difference.

Holy crap Slade.. we have the same hat!
Your car came out looking very sweet andy
Those led's look sweet, as well as the clear corners. It's so amazing how much better they look compared to the orange.

I gave him that hat. And all he does is get it dirty :(
Sounds like you folks had fun.
As for you folks with the CEL light, its a cougar, its going to show up. Its not a threat if your transmission shifts fine and you have no sulfer smell, at worst its a fuel to air ratio. ;)

I had so much fun doing all the LEDs for everyone ....lol. Just had a great time Aaron I love your house. I'm glad I got to come.
Diane I still have the Mad Libs for on the next time....so some sh***y blue poop...orbiting around the weiner.. and landing thoughtfully on a truck. will be so much fun next time....lol
I had a good time too. The LEDs look badass at night. Gettin this really high pitched sound out of my gauges - they all make it but its louder now. Im guessing the ground needs moved to a more secure location cuz it is currently tied into where there are LEDs so Im thinking that the juice is all frustrated and making a louder noise. Anyway- Jamie, it turns out that one of us yanked the power lead off the harness. No biggie and kinda my fault cuz they were not attached very well. I no longer have a soldering kit so they were just wrapped and taped. Took like 5 minutes to fix.
