Well yesterday night I was driving through town on my way home from mcdonalds. I had my brother and his two friends in the car. We pulled up to a light along side a crappy honda civic lx. The guy looks over at me and revs his engine. After laughing my ass off i roll down the window trying not to bust out laughing at him and my brother yells allright. So the light turns green and i floor it. As soon as I took off he was not even close.
So I roll up to the next light, and the guy wants some again. I look over at him and he looks so pissed it's hilarious. The light turns green and the guy jumps the light and I let him go barely hitting the gas. Then I floor it and zoom past him. After that he turned off looking pretty emberassed. My brothers friends screaming out the window about how stupid he was prob. didn't help with this guys ego! Whats funny is they all knew the guy from school and they went the next day and rode him about it all day long!

This experience made me want my cold air intake SOOO BAD. I can't wait to get it. It's not like i'm going be racing at every light or anything but it was fun.

p.s. to anyone who thinks this might have been dangerous, it was on a four five lane road with no cars around, and by the time i slowed down because i allready had him beat by a long shot I was only doing about 65!

well my mom and dad didnt buy me a nice car in high school like everyone else I know, so I had two crappy cars I bought myself and this is my first car that i actually like and is worth a dime. So yes, I guess that makes me a UBER NOOB.

My cars-
1992 pontiac grand prix
replaced radiator, new brakes and rotors, new battery three times, new alt. Spark plugs would magically explode out of the head, leaving the metal part in the block and the porcelin seporate.

traded that for a
1991 pontiac sunbird
replaced radiator, even afterward car would overheat unless heat was left on. New battery. New master cylinder, new tires, new brake pads, tape player busted radio barely worked, new ignition because key became stuck in starter, after the alt. died I left it on the road and sold it for junk.

Now finally I have a car that isn't a total POS and I like it alot. I know everyone is quick to flame us noobs about how we get excited over little stuff but little stuff is important when you never had it before.

I guess it just goes to show that you appreciate what you have when you work for it. I'm 21 and finally have a car I like. It might not be the best car in the world but I am so proud to have it.

Nothing wrong with that. I worked for everything I owned, didn't have the luxury of rich parents either. Back in 98 I bought my cougar brand new, 12 miles on the meter :) and was 20 then as well. Got her @ November *should have waited till 00 though as the model I picked up was loaded with flaws*.

My uber noob comment was based on your hype for a cold air intake :)

lol yea, well like I said, on my last cars the coolest thing I could put on them was a pair of plyers to help me turn the car off by disconnecting the battery when the key got stuck in the ignition!

Nice kill man. I smoke a honda civic, the thing looked like a bucket of crap, and a Honda Del suck last night. I feel ya about that cold air intake, can't wait to get mine myself. It gets here on the 1st. Oh yeah my car is a 2.5 atx also. Install a tranny cooler and you definetly will be able to smoke those Honda Crapwagons. Believe me it makes a big difference in the way the tranny shifts.

hey my first kill in my coug was a pos crx. I was pretty proud of it to. Why do civic owners think just because there car is more tunable that it must be fast? I owned an 89 CRX a few cars ago, and that thing was such a POS, I never would race it. That thing would pop out the spark plug too. Ended up JB welding the thing in, I felt bad for the guy who bought it after me.
