I was on my way home after going for a little drive through some twisty backroads, when I went on the infamous (Tiburon run) long straight and empty horsepark road. Not really expecting to run anything, Im just simply talking to my girlfriend, and in the middle of a sentence I just say , "whoa... whats this??" Could it be something SVT? (As I notice the round fog lights and curvy front end). I wasnt really sure what it was or if it was modified or not, so I open the bottle up and get her ready to run just in case. Right now Im about at a cruising speed ( 45-50mph). I slowly notice him creeping up to the rear of my car (as to only see the Ford Emblem and Nitrous Injected on my hatch) and as he moves to the fast lane he gives it a little more gas and pulls up to my window. He had his window rolled down, as to see if and when I give it gas. As far as I could tell, the owner of the maroon SVT seemed to only have an exhaust and possibly an intake. I really couldnt tell , because I cant hear anything over my exhaust system in my car let alone another vehicle. I wasnt all too sure either if he wanted to run at all, but I flipped the N2O switch to the on position just waiting for him to hit the gas. Right before, I thought he might just pull off and I all of a sudden hear him drop a gear and go WOT. As soon as that happened I go WOT, and I pull hard! At about 95 I had about 2 1/2 - 3 car lengths. Not a bad run at all, considering the bottle wasnt warm and my purge was inactive. I gently slow the car down, and he comes up to my passenger window again and gives me a thumbs up. Well I thought it was over, and I had another kill under my belt. Towards the end of the road I notice hes still with me, cruising, not really doing anything, but we both hit a stop light. As we come up to the stop light it was already red, so I didnt get much of a chance to talk to him, but he rolled his window down and asked to go from a dig. I agreed, and got ready to run again. Light turns green, both of us take off, and by the time we hit 55-60, im about 3 1/2 cars ahead. He flashes his lights and heads off on his own way , while I turn to go home. That was my first run with an lightly modded SVT Tour, and I couldnt be happier. The guy was pretty cool too, I wish I could have talked to him for a little bit.
Edit: I really dont like running on the street, but I reallly couldnt pass up running an SVT for the first time ever. :(
