I'm a proud geek and I'm going to the midnight showing! HA! My wife's a bigger geek, it was HER idea! She talked me into it.

In about a year and a half.... when the complete box set dvd comes out... i'll go and spend the 150$ or so and buy it....
then i'll pick a saturday... kick everyone out... and watch my first entire star wars episode ever.... then i'll watch the other 5....

Wow, I didn't know there were still people out there that hadn't seen any of the movies. ;)
I drove past the theater last nite, and there were a ton of ppl in line, all dressed up, playing with their light-sabres. Was kinda funny, in a geeky way. ;) I dunno, guess I'm just getting to old to stand out in the rain and cold to see a movie... Now Halloween, that's a different story, there's candy involved!

Better invite ME over, it's not like I'll be far away! Better yet, you can walk the 30 paces to my place and watch it on my new theatre setup with my 60+" DLP TV.

Here is a tactical question....
Assuming you get the boxed set with all six movies...and you haven't watched any of them before...
Do you start with the storyline #1 (4,5,6,1,2,3) or do you start with the first released #1 (1,2,3,4,5,6)?

I agree with Zack, watch them in the order they were released. Only because they you get increasing amounts of eye candy as you go. =)

I'm an eye-candy type of guy. The first 3 released movies are good, for the 70's. And even some of the effects are nice by todays standards, but when you get to the new ones... (JAW DROP) Amazing. I really love the scene with the Jedi's fighting all the droids, simply an amazing amount of effects in that scene.
And I have yet to see the newest -- maybe this weekend.
