What is it with kids these days? Too much belief in hype!
This guy in a new WRX took off ahead of me in medium traffic, but in a big gap. I catch him QUICKLY, pass him, then have to back off due to approaching traffic in my lane.
He goes ahead in his lane, and I drop behind him. Then 20 seconds later, he throws his hazards on, I guess signalling the start?? I was about 100 feet behind him. Anyway, he punches it, and I floor it in second, catching him fast, shift third, and blow up beside him and by him. LAUGHING. I catch him at the light, and compliment him on the car, (it was nice... black, new-ish). He tells me it's an 04, and I laugh and say "Nice car buddy, but I'm twice as fast as you!!" His friends in the car laugh too... pretty funny.
Reminds me of the other day when I'm NOT racing, and this IDIOT in a prelude is tailing me hard, waiting for the right lane to open so he can blow by. It does, and he does, and he flies into the S-turn up ahead (wrong way banked... I know it well -- right by my house), and his car leans HARD to the left side, and then his back end swings out on him and he nearly crashes!! I laughed, and rolled up to him at the light after the turn where he stopped. Totally laughed at this guy... He was trying to be all serious, and I was ribbing him about how his life just flashed before his eyes, and how he should slow down... again -- his friends in the car laughed too. Pretty funny...
