The Tempo runs once more :) , and my poor Laser Red with her dirty dirty engine bay and new set of paint chips and extra 200+ miles a week since February can sit quietly in the garage until next Wednesday when she goes to the dealer to fix the increasingly leaky driver side rear wheel brake fluid leak.
It appears that the Tempo's problem, as diagnosed remotely by Terry The Ford Mechanic husband of my church's pastor, was the thin-film ICM (Ignition Control Module). It was a b!tch to get the distributor loose (a long story, and more than a few new tools added to my collection) but once the ICM was swapped, Ol' Ruby ran!
Wish me luck, as I am driving her to work tomorrow for the first time since February.
