Damn old people drivers!!!! Well I was rear ended today about an hour ago. Twice I might add. May not be showing up to the meet now, lol. But I'm working on getting her back into shape right now. Glad my no limit grill wasn't installed yet, lol.

Hey man...that really sucks, two DE NECO cougars down within a few weeks...but i'm almost done on the repairs for mine, and after buying the parts for my car i still have that rear bumper...i can't tell how bad your damage is from the pics really, but if you are interested i'll be willing to sell it to you...it's from a 99 cougar, Yellow...pretty good shape, no cracks or dings, anything like that...the paint is pretty scratched up but i'll be willing to attempt to sand it down as good as i can if you're interested...i don't think any of the scratches went deeper than just paint though...but yeah good luck with the repairs man, i hope you can make it to the meet.

I'm guessing he got hit in the back and probably hit the car in front of him after the impact?

Yeah i stopped before I hit the car in front, then i was hit from behind and pushed into her. Then the guy behind me was hit and he pushed me into her again. The hood is bent, front fender is extremely slightly bowed, the rear frame is pushed up into the trunk and it looks like the sheet metal was pushed forward a bit. My rear bumper is trashed! I may need a new front bumper, definately a new headlight. I am just hoping that they don't decide to total it out do to the rear frame being pushed!!! Oh and I can't just use the headlight lense because all of the mounting points are busted off. And oh yeah, I will have a lawyer tomorrow:biggrin: It pays to know people!!

This is good because now you can move out of your wings west phase and into something sicker!

I have a full 99-00 head lamp as well.


What front and rear bumper are you looking at? Have anything in mind?

Lol, well depending on how much I get, the aerogear widebody is looking nice, lol. Otherwise I'm kind of digging the g2 kombat. Yeah I will definately need the headlight from you if you don't mind holding it. My friend(the lawyer) told me that rear end cases usually settle withing 30 days so I am counting on that. Not sure if I will be able to sleep tonight, lol. I would have beat his a$$ if he wasn't all old and whatnot, haha. Atleast the 2 cars behind me aren't driveable, thats my vindication, lol.

Is the car drivable? maybe you can just throw the rear bumper on and bring the coug to the meet. We need the NOS COUG for a group photo!!

Lol, yeah she is definately driveable but I have to get the bumper on cuz I can't stand the look, lol. The front is ok I guess but now has a crack on the factory part right next to the headlight and the middle of it has the clips missing

No it didn't. I'm still trying to figure that one out myself! I think when he hit me the first time it knocked off the bumper, then the second time i think he bent the frame, That is my guess anyway. eek, pull that fender off and check your body under it...better hope just the fender is bowed and not the rest.

Oh, and if you're interested in a fender as well (i don't know which one is damaged on yours), but i have a passenger side fender as well, same yellow color...only downside is it has a slight crease in it, towards the front of the wheel well, goes inward a little bit...but could be easily put back in to place, with a few minutes work. Again, let me know if you're interested.

Well with my check i will be ordering some Z3's, I guess something good came out of it. I can get alot of parts off of here, my only big concern is the tore up trunk! But if they don't total it or even if they do and they let me get some parts i'll sell the ww front spoiler

As far as the totalling goes, Just make sure the cost to fix the car is not more than 4k and you should be ok.

I'm guessing thats probably what it will be around, is 4k. I know most of it will be on repairing that trunk spot if it can be.

Good luck with all that man, hope it all goes well...my damage was quoted by the woman's insurance company at around $2,400...and it should've been more because they put down two stage paint rather than three (damn laser red). I only had a little bit of frame damage, and we pulled it all back ourselves...with a good 9 hours of labor one day last week. It's a shame you probably can't do that stuff yourself though :shrug:

Well as of yesterday, my lawyer said they were trying to pin some of the blame on me in order to get out of paying. I currently have a knee contussion. Have to make an appointment with an orthopedic and a chiropracter. Basically its a matter of how much the companies are going to pay me, lol. They have to figure who has the most blame or who is paying the biggest percentage, so in the mean time i get to play the waiting game, yah for me, lol

That is some kind of air vent, not sure what the purpose of a vent there is but umm yeah thats what is, lol
