It feels different than the dash pieces........do i still do the same process to paint it. Sand using 250 grit paper, primer, paint , then clear coat?

Mine is the same way, and I did the same prep work to it as everything else, worked out flawless...

OBTW - it will chip if you hit it too hard with a cup :)

if you talking about the center console al,, you have to scotchbrite pad the crap out of them.. also take extra time on the new dash peices,, they have a anti reflective film on them and you kinda have to get through that to get a nice even paint coat

you need plastic prep and a polyproplene primer for the cupholder... allow both to dy and paint as normal
