Ok well a couple of my buddies and i started a lil car club and i was just wondering how i'd do if a ran against them.
Car #1.) 95 GST eclipse MTX w/ Greddy BOV, Turbo exhaust, intake, and turbo timer
Car #2.) 98 GSX eclipse ATX w/ tubro exhaust, intake, and timer
Car #3.) Stock 98 3000GT MTX
Car #4.) GTI VR6 MTX w/ intake and exhaust

In the ATX Cougar if have the GMK CAI, Trubends flowmaster exhaust (2.5) from the cat back, back seat removed and sparco seats for less weight, and a 75 shot of nitrous

race em and find out.......the dsm's should walk away from you. i don't know about the other two. GTI will put up a good fight i'm guessing.

from my experience u will loose to the first one, neck and neck with the second one, beat the third one and neck and rape the 4th one..

but i never have driven an auto cougar.. so i am just figuring with the 75 shot they are about 15.1 somebody corect me if i am wrong

magic the auto dsm. is not that fast stock it runs 15.2 i belive which should put them neck and neck but the first one will walk him.

did you miss that "turbo exhaust" that the GSX has? that free's up a lot of hp......

i saw, first one, no, second one, no, third one, depends on what model, 4th one, you sould win, but will be close. do you have any tuning done with your nitrous? if not, then I wouldn't spray one more time until you get it tuned.

What model 3000gt and what year GTi??

It depends greatly on if you dare spray through every gear and shifts (not toooo smart).

It's all about the drivers in those manual cars...cause if they blkow their launch or miss shifts, it'll kill them...running an Auto is not going to cause much of a driver issue as long and you jump off the line properly.

I say race the GSX from a roll...it'll kill him to do that.

you can safely spray through every gear. but why would you spray through a shift?

Not necessarily. I raced a Dodge Stealth RT Twin a while ago and beat it very handily. Then again, even with his 75 shot, I still estimated to be putting more power out at the crank, AND down to the road through my MTX.

HAHA who said he would the GTI VR6? If its the Mk4 body style then he will get killed. THere is not a chance unless the GTI driver is really crappy at shifting. A VR6 with intake and exhaust alone is already at about 220hp. Now thats not at the wheels, but an atx cougar even with all he has listed would be about even, but the cougar is still very heavy compared to a GTI. But race him no matter what an find out. You always win, im just staing what i think would happen. And if you beat him then let me know, cuz ill have to met up with you then and avenge him with my GLI haha.

Wow Massive you must have like 340hp and 300 plus torque in your cougar because my that stealth r/t twin comes 320hp and 300 torque stock and with the new exhaustm headers, turbo timer, boost control, cams my buddy is pushin close or more than 400hp we dont know torque though but it gota be up there as well

#1) Lose by a lot
#2) Lose by a lot
#3) Lose, but not as bad as the first 2
#4) Drivers challenge, with the edge to the VR6

My Coug was an ATX, and from a dig, its terrible. From a roll (if you manually downshift) you would have a better showing. Roll from about 20 or so would be best for your ATX.

You'll prob lose to first
I think it'll be close with the second, (isn't stock HP like 225?) its an atx and those Eclipse are heavy (and well the turbo timer adds no performance) but on the other hand it is awd.
don't know about #3
I think you can win #4 (hear they're heavy too)

yeah i hate it when ppl don't read your post. The GST i listed ran a 9.8 in the 1/8 and the GSX ran a 9.5!!!

I did read the rest of the post (notice the timer comment). It's just that I don't think the intake& exhuast will add that much hp. That's why I said it would be close. Then again, I don't have a gsx.

i'm not jumping on you ok....just saying that if you did read the rest of the posts, not just the 1st one, you would have noticed the 16g turbo that the gsx also has:)

also.....a turbo back exhaust, on most turbo cars, will give you more than just 8 or 13hp. a TBE on a wrx will give close to 30whp....an evo, closer to 40whp. that with the 16g gives that auto gsx some nice power.......i would have expected a little better than a 9.5 in the 1/8th though.

My Bad. I did see it was a 16g, but the mitsu engines are greek to me. With that lager of an increase from turbo exhuast, it must have higher exhuast pressure the intake.

but then again, it is AWD, and some people just can't seem to launch an AWD for the life of em, no matter how much work on the engine they have. I told you about that WRX i saw at the track.
