3.0 SWAP NEED HELP

i have a 99 cougar automatic. its build date is sometime in 1998. i blew the motor and im searching for 3.0 motors and trans. i need to know real fast cause im on a laptop. i need the motor and the trans. what else do i need to get to complete this swap. i kmnow there r tons of threads but i realy dont have alo of time. if someone can just give me a quick run down i would realy appreciate it

It all depends on what you want. Unless you want people to tell you what they would get its not really going to help. If you can't do head porting or find someone to do it you are left with two choices: full 3.0L with custom fuel rails or a hybrid motor.

The full 3.0L will require lots of modification to get things to fit on the upper intake and the hybrid will require someone to tear down the engine and rebuild it with 2.5L heads. Nothing is a straight drop in unless you get a normal 2.5L or a SVT 2.5L.
