Any Ideas?

Well i put a system in my car about 3 weeks ago, shortly after that it killed my alt. So i replaced my alt. and bought a capacitor. Problem solved right? WRONG! my lights are dimming again and my battery light will flash ever once in a great while. Any ideas on keeping my baby alive? I guess i could get a bigger cap but i don't know if i wanna spend $200 on a bigger cap when i just spen $130 on the one i have. Someone told me something about putting another ground wire on the battery? anyone know what this means???

well all a cap does is just drain it more... a cap is like adding a second battery... its going to drain your alt... you need to go with a high output alt and clean up all your grounds... run through your engine bay and whatnot and take it off and go at it with a wire brush and dielectric greese or if your reall feeling ambitious... go through and replace all the conectors and bolts...should help you some... also if you are spending money while your at you should get an optima red top battery... even then if your system is drawing enough you will still get dimming lights... if you cant deal with it... get a smaller amp...

Im running 2 deep cell batterys and i have been good to go. 1,400 watt amp and 2 air compressors on a stock alt and running strong

Have you tried the Alternator Wiring fix?

The Alt fix is one of the things
The other is the Big 3
Another is a bigger Alt????
