I would really like to go to fest this year. I was wondering if there is anyone willing to make the attempt to go. I was talking to some SoCal/NorCal peps and I was thinking if we do go we can have a massive caravan over to fest. Just trying to get all my "ducks" in a row so I can get my leave approved for fest. Planning has just now started!!!!!!!!
Fest is from July 28th - July 31st in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Whats Planned:
Thursday, July 28th will be the Roll-in/Check-in Day
Friday, July 29th is Track Day
Saturday, July 30th is the Show Day
Sunday, July 31st everyone Checks out and goes home.

I have been seriously considering going this year. I would prefer to travel in a group with the CA guys. I guess we'll see what transpires as the time comes near... :)

Yeah I talked to some SoCal Guys like Nuty1der (Joe) and Brandy. When I asked Joe if he was going he said, "HELL YEAH". I was thinking about meeting up with them in AZ somewhere if at all possible.

If I can manage it, I'd sure like to go and meet up with everyone. My 240 should be in great running order by then, and have some good mods done that I'd wanna test out against them guys.

I just heard from Nuty1der (Joe), he said that he might meet up with some NorCal guys in Salt Lake somewhere. So what Im thinking is driving to San Diego and going with them or just meet them in Salt Lake.
I really need the "ball to start rolling" so I can get off. Being in the military, it isnt exactly easy to get off for something like this!!!!!! I want to go.

Probably better of meeting them in Salt Lake, if gas keep going up the way it is. Remember, Chip = 91 octane = $$$ (I unfortunatly will most likely have some sort of ECU upgrade by July as well, so the 91 octane will be haunting me too.)
I've looked at several different routes to Indy, and it really all comes down to which way Cali wants to come.
Route #1:
NorCal meets SoCal in San Diego, comes across I-8 to Yuma (meets up with Jason), who makes their way to PHX, where I join up (along with whoever else goes from here).
We head up I-17 to Flag, and across on I-40 to Oklahoma City. Up I-44 to St. Louis, and across on (IIRC) I-70 to Indy.
Route #2:
PHX people head to Yuma, where we meet Jason, and head to San Diego. Head up, meet NorCal, and head across I-70, IIRC.
Route #3:
Jason comes up thru PHX, meets PHX people, we head up I-17 to Flag, US89 up to Salt Lake, meet Cali there, and head across.
Route #4 (variation on route 1):
Jason heads up to PHX, where we go to Flag and meet up with SoCal/NorCal, across I-40 like Route #1.
NorCal/SoCal meet around LA somewhere and take I-40 across to hit Flag and meet us there.
As you can see, there are SEVERAL different ways we could do this. Depending on how my schedule would allow, I don't mind either of them, as long as I can get 1 or 2 of my friedns to come with just to help with driving. But if I do this, I'm definitaly wanting to drive (not carpool like Vegas. I love driving, especially long road trips).

What kind of info do you need?

How much it will cost total. I also need to know who Im going with, what our route will be, and how long it will take to get there and back?
I need to know this info b/c of work. The Marine Corps wants to know every little detail about long distance trips like where I will be stopping to get gas and rest, who Im going with, am I allotting enough time.....etc. Even then it will have to be "approved" by my chain of command. So I wont know anything for a little while.

Brandy, Joe, and Dan invited use to go to a meet in San Diego. If you want to go you can look up the info in the SoCal Chapter. Its going to be at Dave & Busters off of I-8 in San Diego. Do you want to go Greg?

I might be into doing this. I was just there two weeks ago, trying to SMOG the SVT! :( And Jason, I stopped in your neck of the woods for gas, and wash the bug guts off my window.
