Figure, $300 for 5 hours of track time at Sebring or Road Atlanta in the Coug = win-win for me.

Course add in a set of tires for the event, and what not. It still looks awfully inviting.
Heck, I showed it to one of the local guys who owns a DSR and he said that could be something we both do one weekend.

Looks great... I ran for 1.5(3 30min sessions) hours on track at Pocono a couple summers ago...
I didn't even run my last session, cause I was beat.. so with 5 hours.. you'll have more than
you'll ever want... LOL..
Have a great time you'll enjoy it.

I was told that Chin was something to do after I'd had some experience on a road course -- if you have, I gather it's fun.
Fall 2003 I saw ads for Chin Motorsports and asked around at our autox events... I was told by some experienced road course drivers that it was a great deal, but 2 of our instructors said that since I'd never been on a road course before, I'd do better going to something that offered more instruction, and track time for novices with their instructors in the car, and only novices on the track. They suggested a club or SCCA event, as smaller and often more supervised.
I went to PBOC Winterfest, January 2004 at Sebring, and loved it. Sat morning was beginner's school -- actually an autocross class done by Evolution (http://autocross.com/evolution/) -- and Sat afternoon and Sun novices got sessions on the road course with our instructors in our cars. The instructors had 2-person headsets so instructor and student could talk with helmets on, etc. It's the only PBOC track event that's open to non-club members, and I was really sorry not to be able to go in 2005.

Sounds like a great weekend. Knowing what I know now, it wouldn't be fun out on at track course without prior experience..

The Evo schools are great... while I only worked timing for one, there is plenty to learn.
