In the past I've noticed that I have to step on the brake pedal pretty hard to disengage cruise control.
It was so bad that I could push on it and feel myself slow down and let off and the cruise was still active.
Just yesterday before work it got really bad and so i stepped on it pretty hard and when i did i felt something kinda click. It did it again after work yesterday and before work today.

Anyone have any ideas on what I should check?
Thanks

i realize this however then i have to reset it each time.. but why go around a problem instead of fixing it?
there's obviously something wrong.. just wanting to know what
thanks

isnt there a cruise control cable? maybe it being hard to release was because of the cable binding or being attached to tightly, then the click could have been the cable finally snapping because of the stress of being to tight? i dont know anything about cruise control so this might just be crazy talk.
