I purchased a used wings west kit a lil while back adn I just got it back from the shop all painted and it looks great. I have a question about installing it. From the previous owner, the 3m tape is still on it. Its a pain to scrape off. I was wondering if there is anything that can loosen the 3m tape up, or if i can put the kit on just by re applyin new 3m tape on it. Im not sure if it will stick out or not, if it will look bad. So im in need of some advice from anyone whos put on a used kit before or anyone that thinks they can help me with this issue. Thanks-Ryan

they make 3m glue remover that you would be able to use. You can get it at an autobody store or maybe even homedepot or autozone..

try maybe soaking it with goo gone, then scrape it off with a razor. I've been there done that, and once you get most of it scraped off, you can sand it smooth with rough sandpaper to get the remaining tape off, and apply new tape.

The metal scaper is not used on the side that is seen. Make sure you get all of the old tape off of there or it will not hold. Make sure you use 3M adhesive promoter on the sideskirts and on the body of the car. This will not hurt you paint.

I know I may be bothersome with all this but. i got all my tape off finally. I noticed the person before me didnt use the tape on the front valence and i went to fit it on today and it is very snug, but, i didnt actually get it all the way on. It doesnt like fit right, like one side wont attach to my bumper as the other will. is there ne ways i can get this to flex more to fit or do i just have to try and bend it by hand as hard as i can?
