Hello..

A few of you are aware and in the know but I don't assume that all of you are. anyways..

I have purchased Alan's (putergeek) donor Cougar.. A bunch of us from Wisconsin are headed to the location of the car and we are going to strip the living snot outta it.

A large portion of the parts will be used for my upcoming ATX to MTX tranny swap and the rest will be parted out and sold. We aren't 100% sure on what parts are there yet as of this time but anything that I do not need is certainly up for purchase at the time of stripping. Due to several upcoming things scheduled I would love to re-coop a portion of my payment to Alan.. He gave me a great deal and in turn I will give you also a great deal.

Long story short is that we are arriving very late at Wendys house on Friday night (4/15) - crashing.. then waking up and heading directly to Alan's parents location where the car is (4/16) We are bringing an air compressor and air tools so we anticipate this going pretty well, but would love the extra hands from any volunteers.. Perhaps if it goes fast and without a hitch we can all go out to eat and hang somewhere before we leave to head back.

Mtang4Life has previous plans and needs to be back by 11pm on Saturday night.. and I promised that we could meet that deadline..

look forward to meeting new people and seeing the old familiar faces..... bring your checkbooks with you or have money in your paypal account if your interested in some parts. ;)

Rock Rapids, IA 51246

All I know is that the car is a 01 I believe and the roof was transplanted to Alan's cougar a while back to repair his.. so I'm thinking that all roof parts are a no go.

The car was an '00. There isn't any good body pieces left. I used them all for my cougar when I had it. But almost all the interior parts and pieces are there. Engine/tranny/interior pieces/suspension. And yes, the car in in Rock Rapids, IA. If you need/want the actually address, PM my or also Cripsy because she has it as well.

Hey!
I'm glad i saw this thread. I'm wondering if it's any at all possible that i could buy the wiring harness that plugs into the turn signal bulb socket on one of the headlights? It doesnt matter which headlight, they both should be the same. I really need it for a project and i've been searching for a wrecked cougar or something for a long time to get it. And since your completely gutting the car i doubt anybody will care if part of the wiring is missing.
I really hope you guys can help me out!
The first pic is of the wiring harness i need.
The second pic of the wiring harness plugged into the light socket.

Wendy, I'll bring the waffle shiz. Anyone have food allergies?? Everyone like strawberries and blueberries? Bananas? Eh? Juice and stuff for the morning would be awesome. Dole Orange Peach Mango is da best!

Crispers~~Do you think I could nab the door lock buttons? Eric (silvercat2002) f-ed mine up when he put blue LED's in them and now they don't work...as in the locks dont lock or unlock the doors. Also I want the trunk release button if you can part with it. The LED on that one is spastic and it flickers and bugs the sh!t out of me. Pretty please??? :wiggle:

Thanks,

Crispy
04-13-2005, 08:28 AM
it's a 2000 so it does not have leather door inserts at all if the panels are there... Tankgirl asked about the switches last week before the trip was postponed.

Waffles sound great... just make sure your booty is up EARLY makin em otherwise you will have to deliver them to us out at the donor location while we are workin.

i dont know if anyone has warned you yet, but parting out a car is a biatch. ive been in charge of selling the parts from the totaled cougar ohio neco baught, and it hasnt worked out as planned. i have over 75% of the parts left, and we are still in debt to a neco member $100 who put some money in to buy it. its a lot of work, so best of luck crispy.

Giggler - you got it.. pillers and blankies... I will pass the word .. what time you need to go to work that morning?

CattyGrrrl - get your arse in the kitchen at about 8am at the latest... I'll set you an alarm and help (we should be at the site about 9am at the latest please)

JaMallot - yah, I know what you mean.. I'm sorta scared on this, not sure what is salvagable but we are only nabbing what I either need or think I can sell.. I'd like to recoup some cash off this.. but if not I still will be saving alot of money buy nabbing all these tranny parts I need for the ATX to MTX swap... whats going to kill me is the gas on this trip... 2 vehicles and a 18ft trailer.. (EEK)

3 waffles a piece? damn... oink oink... put me down for 1 perhaps 2 at the most... otherwise we can all just hit up a breakfast joint on the way - that way Heids can sleep in longer and not spend any cashola...

time to hook up the Coug's Sirius into the beater so we don't go insane on the trip. http://www.teamneco.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/roxor.gif

entire rear suspension(mainly the connecting stuff) going to make aftermarket stuff.

Oh, I know people will not like hearing this, but I am going to be putting my car up for sale. I am going to be finishing some of the odd projects on it to get it back to cool driving condition, but it is going to be going byby. If anyone is interested let me know. A 26' Hawaiian Cruiser and a 2004 Harley V-Rod.

Sorry guys. I know it kinda sucks, but I will have you up to go cruising down at Table Rock.

I am just getting to the point if I do anymore to it I will never be able to sell it and I also need to realize I am not 22 anymore and I have to start looking at some hobbies my wife would like to get into.

You could take if off my hands Justin. I will give someone from the area a pretty good deal on my car considering all the stuff that has been done to it just in the last year.

CatWoman: Sorry to gank the switches! I am planning on switching them to LED's though. If you want, when I get them all set up and fixed, we can swap? Just let me know what color LED's you want.

I'm so mad I don't live near you guys! Taking apart a Cougar would be so much fun! Best of luck!

Catwoman3700
04-15-2005, 01:45 PM
Tnkgurl~ Yea that would be super sweet! I had blue before but as I dont know what Eric did to them...the drivers side door lock button doesnt lock and the trunk release flickers. A couple of them burned out too. So if you want to swap mine for your stock ones, I'd be down. Or if you wanted to switch yours to white or blue and then trade them for mine, that'd be cool. Let me know how you want to do it. :) Thanks!!

Catwoman3700

Whoever wants to swap, I'm game...
I need the trunk release button, the drivers side door lock button, the drivers side left window roll down button, and the passenger side window roll down button. (so pretty much everything except the drivers side right window button and the rear defrost button on the dash.). Oh and if anyone wants to also trade the trip computer buttons (or whatever theyre called), mine's still stock green so I'd love the matching blue :)

Wisco peeps--> It was fun hangin out with everyone! Hopefully we can all get together sometime soon. Maybe I'll shoot up to Dells with Wing Ding whenever that is.

And may "2 Wicked" rest in peace....

went good... we were out of there in record time... only bad experience was when a portion of the car started on fire when we attempted to cut out the shifter cables with a torch....

the trailer is fully loaded with the parts... it was raining all the way home and last night so we just tarped it.. I might start workin on sorting it a bit today when I pull out the hatch for my glassing project.

StangKiller
04-17-2005, 09:10 PM
The torch was my idea. Never believe the firewall flame retardent material is flame retardent. It was soaking wet and went up like a roman candle. I owe crispy some shifter cables out of the deal. We should all make a letter to ford about that. I just can't believe it went up in flames that quick. But everything else went really good.

great now I'm registered to a useless board - like I said earlier you should have known how they would have reacted... its common sense and in my opinion nothing on my car is rice anymore.. last year was a different story. They make it sound like I own a riced out Civic or something.

I posted one picture of a car that I like and idolize. Then when the sheit started to hit the fan I defended you. I don't see why I'm being crucified. I've noticed a "ban Tim movement" has started here lately. I honestly thought of this place and this chapter to be more than this...

Crispy
04-18-2005, 09:16 PM
there you going over dramatizing stuff again.. argh.

thanks for liking the car but you should have realized that the majority of that demographic are rich elite snobs... they have no idea what are current hot trends on the show scene nor probably open up a tuner mag that doesn't have the word "bimmer" in the title. I've seen enough Euro rice out there posted on websites to know that their little nitche isn't safe from the tuners of the world. Some people are happy with a stock OEM vehicle.. others build what they own for other reasons - it's not like my car gets more than 1000 miles on the speedo a year.. its a hobby not a mode of transportation.
