ok I am finishing up reworking my interior and putting in new door inserts and such... but theose arced hangle son the inside fo the door that you typically use to close the door i don't knwo what to do with. Mine were painted once and not prepped right so they tacked up and got all [censored]ty and nasty... How can I eitehr pclean these up prep them and paint them or other ideas of what to do with them.. I thought about covering them in ultra suede like the door panels but I don't think that will work that well or look that clean so I need other ideals... they woudl be going silver or ligth grey to match the interior

for that and the dash, i had to bring it to the pro's ... they mix in some kind of flex-agent into the paint that does wonders. :) but everyone who has painted that piece and had it turn out good (including myself) has brought it to a professional.

i don't like your answer... lol... that means i woudl be without door panels for a few days.. and still have to find a way to clean off the old paint that is [censored]ty still...

heheh, I know... my answer does suck :(

Do you have any OTHER work you need to have done? I just had it done with all my other painting stuff, so it worked out for me. but if theres like... anything shaved or molded that you want to have done, or anything else on the inside you want painted, you could just drop the WHOLE car off for a weekend... make it REALLY worth your while :)

they've got good stuff to take off that old paint too - or they SHOULD at least.

When I brought the cougar to my shop, I offered to take the old paint off my dash, and they told me 'no no, we have our own ways..." - so you might want to just ask whichever paint shop you decide to go with if you should prep the pieces, or just leave it to them...

Thanx for the info... I will probably just bring my entire dash wet to my uncles body shop and have his guys do it all in nice matching perfect silver frost or something... hell have to have my new front bumper painted up anyway so I guess I will ahve to brign the car to ohio instead of just shipping him my bumper and fuel door
